Ironside on the bench at least
Looks a decent bench potential to change if need it

Wood, Maxwell, Ironside, Hurst, Close. That bench is looking really strong! As they tire we could put some real pressure on Wimbledon, a good away win today, 0 - 2.

i wonder if Jones spectated or participated in the defence. Could he have or was he glued to his line as usual? Hoden has not really given a coherent description of it, but that is not unusual.

Westbrooke’s first touch is diabolical. Given the ball away as a result 4 times this half the first one on 6 minutes gave Wimbledon a scoring opportunity.

Think he needs a change of boots….or hairdresser.

We're piss poor at defending in our own box - it's a recurring problem this season.

Hopefully a high quality central defender will be a top priority for Grant in January because none the combinations we have currently seem to be the answer.
Title: Re: Dons V TLOD
Post by: danumdon on November 11, 2023, 04:13:56 pm
Free kick against Senior was very dubious followed by some abject defending from Anderson from the corner, we really are dire at any set piece into the box.

This is becoming the kind of game that requires a forceful leader like Wood.

Really poor game with nothing sticking up top and no control in midfield,  like  dickos said get Ironsides and Hurst on and run at them.

For those reliant on Hoden’s iFollow commentary, it is impossible to judge the quality of the football because all he does is tell you who has the ball. He rarely actually describes what they do with it. It is poor value and as head of Media it is his responsibility to recognise that sound commentary is a job for a PROFESSIONAL. Where is Robbie Andrews or the Tom Biltcliff commentary on Radio Sheffield? If Barrow can afford the local radio, why can’t Rovers?

Robbie doesn't work for the club anymore and Radio Sheffield usually don't send anyone to our away games they just get a freelance journalist who's local to the area we are playing in. We are hardly ever on the radio so no commentary would be available.
