Picking that combination would seem to defy all logic.
Both too slow with the turning circle of an aircraft carrier.
Hopefully the selection was a one off but in his post match interview McCann seemed to think it went well. God help us if he persists with it.
If it works I'll take my hat of to him.

WAP as cover for them two?

Against Peterborough if he plays them two in a 3 we’ll concede at least 4.
Anything down the sides and we were in trouble and Colchester weren’t quick up top. A sharper team would have had a field day.

History of heel injuries, mind

A back 3 of wood, Bailey and Senior for me. Though do we know extent of seniors injury

The reporter mentioned they hadn't played together? Did I dream it or wasn't they the reason we kept a clean sheet 2nd half with 10 men v Swindon.

McCann after match said it was hamstring, but caught very early

Absolutely, mate. Robbie's normally good, but he and Peter Catt kept getting things wrong last night, including, as you said, stating that Tom and Woody hadn't played together up to last night; they had, in the 2nd half against Swindon as you mentioned.

Peterborough average 2.5 goals at home in League One. We are a bottom end League Two side with a poor defensive record away from home against sides in League Two.

What could possibly go wrong?
Nailed on clean sheet and away win

We’ve conceded in every single away game this season in all competitions. We last managed an away clean sheet 20 away games ago on 4 March 2023 at Stockport.

I remember going to Anfield when Rovers at the bottom of the 4th Division drew 2-2 with table topping Liverpool. We also hit the bar in the last minute.
Things like that don’t happen often, but they do happen.

Wood and Anderson also played together at Newport, Wood started and Anderson came off the bench after half an hour by which time Rovers were 3-0 down. Wood was withdrawn midway through the second half.

One thing is clear to me, both Wood and Anderson need to be out of the team. If we persist with these two we will almost certainly be in a relegation fight. What the hell has happened to Anderson??
2 competent centre halves is a must in January.
