Haven’t heard any news on Maxwell
-
Just said on RS he's injured but no details.
The irony of this post from Rovers X Feed.
"Happy birthday to our flying Scotsman, James Maxwell"
He's deffo grounded now.

2 | So close to an early Rovers opener! George Broadbent swings a ball from the right towards the back stick but as Tom Nixon slides in, his effort can only be guided wide.
0-0
COYR

Home comms good at describing the action
-
9 | Great work from Tommy Rowe to run down the left and keep the ball in before winning his side a corner out of nothing. The resulting set-piece is headed over.
0-0

What a poor ground standing and out in open
-
12 | Ben Close comes close with a looping free-kick from just inside the Stanley half but the ball evades everyone and just misses the far corner.
0-0
COYR
-
20 | Louis Jones is called into action for the first time as he quickly gets off his line to beat Josh Andrews to a dangerous cross at the back stick.
0-0

-
22 | Play is temporarily brought to a stop as Stanley's Seamus Conneely receives treatment on the half-way line.
0-0

25 | So close from... LOUIS JONES!
The keeper boots long and the wind collects it to bounce over his opposite number but it's agonisingly wide for the stopper.
0-0

Jones almost scored!!
-
29 | Stanley enjoying a sustained spell of pressure here but Rovers stand tall and bring it to an end as Joe Ironside wins his side a free-kick.

31 | Josh Andrews has the ball in the back of the net but play is quickly pulled back for a deflection off the referee.

37 | Great save from Louis Jones to deny Josh Andrews one-on-one and Rovers clear their lines.

Dreadful gale force conditions at Stanley and we face into the wind in the second half
-
45 | There will be a minimum of five added minutes at the end of this first half.
0-0
COYR

Half time 0-0, chances seem to be few and far between for both sides. Against the gale in the second half
COYR
-
Not necessarily a bad thing to play into the wind, passes hold up well for players to run onto. They have to keep the ball on the floor and play.
-
Kudos to the Rovers fans standing in the open with driving rain in their faces
-
I'm at the back of the roofed side stand and am getting wet? Mental.. pitch is holding up tho, no standing water.. can a game be called off due to wind ?
-
Wind speed now slightly over the 45+5 minutes in first half. 51 mph per BBC weather site!
-
As a team who cannot defend crosses I think we have a major problem this half.
This will be a superb clean sheet if achieved.
-
BBC weather says wind speed 44 mph for Armthorpe yet there's barely a breath of wind presently.

I’m in Branton and our trees are definately blowing around.
-
49 | Shaun Whalley gets the first shot of the half for Stanley but it's wide. Rovers then make a crucial block to prevent an opener from Josh Woods.
0-0

Where have all the fans gone?
-
Nipped out to buy a few wetsuits and snorkels.
Credit to them
-
Their biggest threats Leigh and Andrews have gone off.
They have a striker (Lowe), 3 youngsters and a young emergency goalkeeper in defence.
Unacceptable if we lose.
-
61 | Rovers make their first change...
OFF: Tommy Rowe
ON: Harrison Biggins
0-0
COYR
-
62 | A half of few chances so far here but Stanley put a dangerous cross in from Jack Nolan, collected by Jones.
0-0

Watching this game is like pouring drain cleaner on your soul. I can only imagine what its like for the people at the ground.
-
How was that not a red card with the foul on Mo
-
Awful game with neither side getting it together in atrocious conditions. One goal will seal the win. Just hope it’s Rovers.
-
74 | Rovers work an opportunity on the right. Tom Nixon swings a ball towards the centre and Joe Ironside attempts with a diving header but the ball skids off his head and wide.
0-0

I walked the dogs just before half time, the wind nearly blew me over, how they play in this I don’t know.
We need to keep the ball on the floor and keep passing, long and high will not work.
-
78 | Ben Woods attempts with a free-kick for Accrington in the middle of the park but it's fired over the crossbar.
0-0
COYR
-
82 | Rovers changes...
OFF: Tom Nixon and Luke Molyneux
ON: Jack Senior and Jamie Sterry
0-0
COYR
-
85 | So close for Rovers! Jamie Sterry puts in a great cross from the right and Harrison Biggins heads it on but it bounces off the crossbar!
0-0

90 | There will be a minimum of five extra minutes to play here.

Come on rovers.
-
Good point. First away one of this season.
-
Their pitch looks in good knick, then I realised it's hybrid like ours, and they've had 2 players off injured and several stoppages with medical attention today MMmmmm?
Yeah, bit of a unappealing game to watch, but better than conceding late on and losing by the odd goal, good point will take that for now.
-
Sounds like Joe Olowu did some good work today.
-
Full time 0-0 poor game to listen to, probably worse to watch in the uncovered stand
Onwards and upwards

Didn’t we get 3 at Forest Green?

Joe was excellent today at the back. Overall we had the better chances - but only two chances.

And Tranmere. 7 away points this season.
-
I’ll take a point in those conditions, it was like a Sunday League game at times

Yep. First away draw. My initial post was misleading . I mentioned it in a thread previously about rovers not securing a point away when they have conceded late goals.

He was my mom.

Are you saying " taking a point in these conditions " should be the limit of our ambitions ?
This was Accrington Stanley - it wasn't that long ago that we were playing against at least 5 teams in the current Premiership !
