Potential for cold weather in the 2nd week of Jan so Harrogate and Newport games. Will keep an eye on it.

Typical lazy journo stories trying to panic the public. The Daily Depress does it every winter, lying to**ers! Look on the Met Office site and the longer term forecast, it might get a bit colder, there is more chance of a bit of snow but nothing significant.

It never ceases to maze me the amount of hyperbole the media come out with about winter weather . Snow bombs, polar vortex, troll from tronheim, beast from east etc. we have no real concept of proper winter weather in the uk . Unless you live in the highlands of course .

Or of course , when it's cold , "it's going to be colder than Iceland or Oslo"

fear!! Just like when they make the weather map look like the surface of the sun when it’s going to be 20 degrees or so. They need you all aboard the climate change bandwagon so you dance to their tune.

We live in a world where we are uncaring and ignorant if we dare to be positive about anything. Once upon a time, it was great to appreciate and enjoy a heatwave, but now it is stupid. If you go on a plane you're ruining the environment. If you vote in an election or referendum, half the nation tells you you're thick and racist. If you're a pensioner you are accused of pulling up the ladder and stealing everybody's money.
We are led by do-gooders who can't stand anyone being happy.
