Lee Johnson gone from Fleetwood that didn't last long
Unfortunately we will in all probability be playing them next season.
Hate that place. Been a real bogey ground. Never seen us play even remotely well against them.
Even at home we have put in some horrible performances.
Going through a few managers aren’t they. It’s not a recipe for success. Can see them back in the National League in a couple of years.

That’s a pity, I’ve got a bet on West Ham top half finish,Fleetwood going down and Rovers stopping up, and with Lee Johnson in charge things were going fine.
Question is who sacked him because isn’t the chairman or maybe ex chairman now doing 12 years in prison for fraud
-
Their relative success has always been baffling to me. Seemed obvious it was built on rocky foundations and would collapse eventually. I just didn't think they were necessarily criminal foundations!

when I read this about Scott Robertson --

I translated as if his manager ( I didn't know who the manager was) had said "you will never play for us again " guessing after some "incident"
since we have
20 January 2023
Fleetwood Town have signed midfielder Scott Robertson from Celtic on a two-and-a-half-year deal.
Scott Robertson seems to be a bit of a "butterFLY" player
then he comes out with a statement on signing for Notts County
"I've been waiting a while to be part of a team that sets up like Notts," Robertson told the club website.
and I thought at the time what planet is he on "waiting !!"
I think he must have played here with Bostock ?
it seems ? the Manager showed Robertson the door and the club showed the Manager the same door.
they kept the length of his contract a secret ""I've been waiting a while to be part of a team that sets up like Notts," Robertson told the club website.
when Fleetwood signed him (September 10th ) after he had been already been sacked once this season they KEPT THE LENGTH OF HIS CONTRACT A SECRET
..... "Johnson - whose contract length has not been disclosed - joins a Fleetwood side short on confidence, with the club second from bottom of League One and having earned just one point from their first six League One games."

tyke will be in tears :crying:
Getting sacked twice in the same season before Christmas surely must be a unique achievement ? Certainly a good pub quiz question.

Somebody needs to check their facts as Lee Johnson can't have been sacked twice in the same season before Christmas given he managed two games after Christmas.

Not a lot of people know this, but Captain Pugwash was created by John Ryan.

Fleetwood have appointed Charlie Adam as their new head coach.

He’s the thickest man I’ve ever heard speak. Long odds on to be a rubbish manager.

Charlie certainly knew how to kick a dead ball, he might give Fleetwood a good kick too.

Worse than Beale at Sunderland?

Exchanged a few kicks with Richie Wellens at Blackpool too and got sent off, but it is a mystery how Fleetwood can possibly sustain League football - let alone L1 - without its original benefactor.

Beale is a fine coach. Put him up as a potential candidate to the club years ago.

He's just not a very good manager.

Absolutely. Out of his depth at rangers but was very good as a coach under Gerrard. Some just make better coaches (Schofield...)

Wonder if they bring the old manager back..

Oh dear how sad

Birmingham City never fail to disappoint do they.
What a basket case football club they are.
Do they think they are in a competition to have the most managers
How they are still in the Championship is one of the biggest wonders of the modern world.
Quite unbelievable the way that football club has been run over the last 10/15 yrs

Charlie Adam sacked as manager of Fleetwood Town. Now nine days until we play them, on 1 January.
-
Joey Barton back in at Fleetwood ???
-
One Nutcase, he’ll be all over the place there.
-
Very surprising that it’s been 24hours since their defeat to Notts and Bradford still have a manager. He surely can’t have long left.
-
I'm on a Bradford City mailing list. Some proper intelligent football comment on it too. The natives are increasingly restless. They've just sent an open letter to their owner basically saying 'put up or shove off'. The unhappiness has been growing for a while now. If Bradford don't get their act together in the next few months, things might become quite interesting...

Bradford City have the infrastructure, the stadium, and the fan base to be in the Premier League, as they have been before.
For them to be anywhere below the Championship is a scandal, and an insult to their loyal fans.
