Title: I see she did it then
Post by: BillyStubbsTears on December 30, 2023, 02:37:57 pm
Truss. The 6 week PM. She's actually had the temerity to put through a Resignation Honours List

Three new Lords.

A man who has given £700k to the Tory party.

A woman who was Truss's right hand while she was doing the Tasmanian Devil thing with the economy last year.

A man who was head of the Taxpayers' Alliance - a 55 Tufton Street pressure group supporting the batshit economics that Truss threw at us last year, and which refuses to publish who funds it.

Remember when the election comes. This woman was the overwhelming choice of the Tory party as the best leader they had. Yeah. I know...

It would be funny if it wasn’t so sad.

I really don't know if her total lack of shame on this issue is something to be despised, because it shows she really doesn't give a f**k, or concerned about because it indicates a separation from reality that can only be explained by serious mental illness.

Either way, the idea that people who had been close to her for years thought she was remotely suitable to be PM says a lot about the standards of the modern Tory party.

Hang about, can this not also be said about Starmer and his acolytes who would of had us governed by the jovial tramp from Islington, Corbyn? what does that say about the standards of the current crop of Labour leadership? a person who in all intents and purposes they have sent to Coventry.

Just for balance, Truss should of been allowed nowhere near a honours list

DD

I've said it a thousand times but it seems it needs saying again.

Corbyn's economic policies were textbook, mainstream economics. To even begin to compare them with the catastrophic tornado that Truss unleashed is just silly, frankly.

Additionally, the Labour MPs didn't select Corbyn and never wanted him as leader. But when you have a leader imposed on you (mostly by people who joined the Labour party specifically to elect him, and have since left) and there is no way to remove him, you have little choice but to grit your teeth and work with him.

Again, comparing that to the Truss case, where over 100 Tory MPs chose her as their preferred candidate, is just silly, or willfully blind.

I'm surprised she didn't try to nominate herself to be a peer.
