For those of you who couldn't sleep last night because you were wracking your brains, I'll answer Yes or No to up to twenty questions, to solve the mystery location.

Am I correct in remembering that someone got murdered round the back of that establishment?

Looks like the view from roberts rd

''Not a story of actually playing with someone who was to become famous, but at St Francis' Xavier junior school on Balby Bridge, I sat next to a kid called Glyn Keating who insisted his brother played for Rovers. Being a Rovers fan, I knew no one called Keating played for Rovers, so was sceptical to say the least, even before I knew what sceptical meant!''

You sly bugger! Glyn Keating's (step) brother was Graham 'Willie' Watson. He was my favourite player at the time. Another great footballer who went there was Kevin Keegan. Of course, not forgetting a third, The Bentley Bullet, but a knee injury at 11 ended what promised a fabulous career in the game.

..... Oh, and yes, You're right SR, it is St. Francis Xavier on Roberts Road, Balby Bridge.

Well done!

It wasn't helped by having former Shirt sponsors " Ledger Mobility" either.

I wonder how they chose that name ? Did they fall for the erroneous d as well or were they part of a larger Group of Companies ?

Don't know that one, but he's quite approachable so I'm sure he'll advise you on your next project.

Coming to this thread a bit late, apologies for that, but may I correct the early entry…..it’s not the Cenotaph (that’s down by the gates to Elmfield Park), it’s the Hall Cross……. what they named the pub and school after. Cheers.
