…….back to Sheff Utd. Loan ended due to injury.
Room for another loan?
-
Shame, looked a good player. I’d have liked to see him here longer if he is over the injury.
-
He will end up being a good player in time.
-
He got injured during his recuperation at his parent club, Jon!
-
It looks as though his injury will keep
him out through the transfer window so we will have look for another loan forward

Is this not why we have Matthew Craig? Squad is on the large side as it is
-
No messing from Grant that then !

Very unfortunate for him as looked a good player in the few games he played, wasn’t afraid to get on the ball and make things happen. Looks like he will be out for the season.
Hopefully he recovers and has a good loan somewhere next season.
Expect us to sign 2 more wingers/wide forwards on loan then with him and Roberts leaving.

We’ve already got four on loan so only one place, if we get two in, one would have to be permanent

could still bring in another loan but will probs be 1 loan and then possibly a permanent if the right player is available.

When a player on loan returns, as Marsh did, to his parent club for treatment, does the club they’re on loan to still pay a portion of his wages?
COYR
-
Grant said he was looking for a number 9 who could play wide but could come later in the window.
He could have been waiting to see if Marsh would be available he’s not now.
Also Faal and Nixon could return to their clubs
-
Out and out defensive midfielder anyone?

He will still be on Blades payroll so depends how we arranged to pay whatever loan fee was agreed. If it's paid in monthly installments, then it shouldn't be a problem. If it's paid up front, then I guess we'll get some back.

McCann's already confirmed Faal and Nixon are staying.
-
McCann mentioned that marsh sustained another injury while back at sheff Utd, scan was Tuesday so guessing it’s been deemed his injury is likely to keep him out for a while.
One out and opens the door for another one to come in

Pacey and tricky wide forward for me please!

When did this happen? It wasn’t said at the MtO’s!

He was asked by either Radio Sheff or Biltcliffe if any further discussions had been had (with parent clubs) and he said yes, they're happy with their development so will be staying.
I mentioned it in a other post somewhere.
-
Thanks for that, DBR. Listening to GM at the MtO event, it seemed very much still up in the air.
Glad it’s been sorted.

Yes i heard GM say that, so its odd that we put it down to his broken arm. An injury he had already recovered from if he hurt his knee in training with the Blades.
-
Hmmm it’s not a totally clear statement on DROS is it ?

Yeah, just seen that. Still referring to the arm, but it's in that same interview above where GM says it's a further injury
-
Saw a rumour online he's possibly got an ACL injury aswell, hope not.
-
Hope the lad recovers soon he looked decent and was/is highly thought of by United. I know some blades who turned up to watch him when they didn’t have a game

He did say yes but also there’s a gap where West Brom and Hull could act so could not be definite although happy with development
-
According to Blades rumour he injured his knee first day back in training after his arm damage and there’s no guarantee he will play again this season. So I assume that’s why his loan was cancelled. Wish him luck and maybe next season we could try again
