Title: New record
Post by: BillyStubbsTears on January 27, 2024, 08:43:32 pm
I've never left the ground before the last few minutes before today, no matter how bad we have been.

Today I left after 31 minutes. That first half hour was as bad as I have ever seen, including 97/98. We have a team of average players, performing well under the sum of their parts.

Recruitment has been awful for years, but f**k me, we should be able to get more of a tune out of the squad than that.

No fire.

No organisation.

No pride.

How has it come to this?

Years and years of piss-poor management, along with lots of apathy, at the very top of the club. Thats how Billy.

We didn’t play very well today at all, but who were we playing ?
Stockport County who if I remember correctly are top of the league

I would have left as soon as it got to 4-0, but had arranged to meet Mrs T, who'd gone shopping and lunching with her mates at Lakeside, at 5pm so had to sit it out til the bitter end.

Bet Maidstone are glad they didn’t quite look at their task quite as negatively.
Top of League 2 not champions league winners, I mean how old is Paddy Madden?
You win the best understatement of the year award, ‘we didn’t play very well’
Though I do thank you for making me smile on the football front.

There are acceptable ways to lose, and there was today. They cut through us at ease, my god if they really wanted to score more they would’ve. Jones made at least 4 good last gasp saves in the first half too.

I hope you gave your mrs a comprehensive rundown of the performance TT.

I honestly think this team would struggle in the national league , teams simply want it more than us and that is hard to accept

I left at 0-5. Please tell me Adelakun is a better footballer than Molyneux. I’m fed up of watching him. Hiwula-esque first touch today from Luke.

Morecambe weren't, and that scoreline was even worse.

There are no excuses whatsoever. We're just a f*cking embarrassment of a club.

Agreed. And I've just watched Newcastle v Fulham and had flash backs of us agianst Newcastle in the championship and we held our own in that division for a few years on a limited budget. Is it manger or is it budget?

As I said, I stayed til the end and the last 20 mins or so wasn't that bad. Adelukan and Waters looked lively and Biggins should have scored from a really good piece of play.
Having said that Stockport were in cruise control by then.

It will all be ok because the untouchable coppinger has everything in hand. A man that gambles with everything for fun .
