Title: Is February make or break time ?
Post by: essexrover on January 28, 2024, 06:34:21 pm
The next 4 fixtures are against teams currently in 22nd, 17th, 19th & 20th.
If Rovers come out of that lot badly it really could be curtains.
Tranmere have won 3 of their last 5, Sutton have drawn their last 4 & Salford are unbeaten in 4. It doesn't bode well ☹️.

Salford, Sutton and Grimsby are all away though. We have the worst away record in League Two, bar Sutton, and we average less than a goal per away game. To win any of these games we will have to score and on pure averages, we aren't able to manage a goal each away game.

Massive month.
The other bad thing is that for some years now February has not been very productive for us.
All runs come to an end though.

Sutton are in 23rd. It's us that are 22nd.

Unless we get leadership both on the pitch and off its curtains. Rowe isn’t a captain or even effecting things on the pitch .So unless ALL the players start playing their part , McCann may as well walk now as he has not influencing things in anyway  !!
