For Terry to further invest in this team and sign a player or two that we really need!
I know we've "signed" players in January but they are mainly kids or people that are truly surplus to requirements at their clubs.
Is it ludicrous of me to suggest further strengthening?
-
We need a goalkeeper.
-
We can’t just keep adding more and more players without offloading some too
-
No it isn't.
GM said in the summer that he was going to be ruthless but I've not seen it yet.
I said yesterday that he should bin off Olowu and Anderson, I'd also let Biggins and Taylor go on frees. Then bring another CB in and a proper holding midfielder.

We have enough players they just need to be guided with conviction and not left like sheep to do their own thing !!

Is it too late to bring Colin w**ker in?

We must have one of the biggest squads outside the Premier League. Huge numbers of players. We cannot keep throwing yet more players into Cantley Park, many of them likely to get injured quickly.
-
Unless we offload around 5 players this week I dont see anymore incomings. And if we do im confident they will be youth loans.

But who's going to take the dire performers we have here, genuine question? Can these supposed 'professional footballers' not see the damage they're doing to their own careers by underperforming the way they are week after week?

With many out on loan and many out for the season and others youth players is it really that big of an actual match squad?
-
The club should concentrate on making long-term decisions, not short-term loan signings or 6 month permanent signings. Long-term decisions, and a long-term critical review of the squad. Despite the form, it's unlikely we'll go down. Don't make short term-decisions.

One thing that doesn't get mentioned a lot is how bloody hard it must be to run a training session when you have 35 players in the senior squad.
This is something that Chelsea struggled with when they spent a billion on players recently- a big club with a multi million pound training setup and some of the best coaches in the world. We've got Cantley Park and a handful of part time coaches. Add in the fact that we have loads of players at varying stages of rehab from injuries who will need special attention and the coaching system will be stretched to breaking point. It's no wonder we look like a barely coached Sunday league rabble at times.
Adding more average players into that, which is all we can likely afford at this point, isn't the answer.
-
Who said add average players?
Also - we are still paying the price for having no development squad, face facts this 35 man squad mentioned includes so many players that are out injured for the season or out on loan so it wouldn't effect training.
Out on loan: Kuleya, Sontana, Degruchy, Seaman
Out injured; Lawlor, Lavery, Ravenhill, Anderson, Westbrooke, Miller
Development Players/Youth: SSB, Flint, Goodman, Faulkner,
Do they train with the team? Wood, Taylor, Long

No it's not ludicrous, it's crucial for us to survive in the football league. Kids are for the future, not now. We need a commanding keeper, & a midfielder who can stop any opponent from any team having a steady jog through our midfield.
If 22nd in the bottom tier doesn't have alarm bells ringing loud & clear, I don't know what will.

I've seen this mooted before but... why would he?
Mans shown he is clearly in demand at higher levels, why would he come into the under funded, disaster thats us at the moment?
-
The manager going by how the players are performing isn’t improving the people he has. We badly need a strength through the core of the team, not youth loans, experience is needed.
Danny Wilson released in January, 32 years old centre back, Alex Grant, 30 years old another centre back, both available on free transfers.

Without Lawlor for the rest of the season we are short of a GK which is a specialist position; the number of outfield players on the books is irrelevant.

Maybe clubs in midtable with nothing to play for, would maybe get by on the keepers they have in. Any club with something to play for would bring in a keeper, as we should, as a priority.
