Very strange, think I heard Grant saying something along the lines of 'he's as good as gold' when questioned him not being in the team/squad.

Nixon has been in the top 5 players of the season ( at least !! )in my view.

Might be that he that Hull want to recall him, seems more likely than him being dropped.
