Thanks for the head up. Is it a good away day? Not done it before

Pretty sure that will be the initial allocation. Another league 2 club thinking £25 is value for money too.

Depends on the result. Many of us were there a couple of years ago when we were 3-0 at half time (great away day), then lost 4-3 (not so great away day)

Just spoken to the ticket office. We've got some terracing tickets coming too but they've not arrived in the post yet which is why they're not on sale. I'll hang on for a day or two until they're on sale - hopefully a bit cheaper!

Still £25 for standing tickets. That's a piss-take.

Wonder if they're charging home fans the same for terracing?

They charge their own fans £20 for terracing.

Yes, one of my mates just pointed that out. I thought the rules stipulated that away fan pricing must be in line with home supporters for equivalent accommodation.

The away supporters' guide on Morecambe FC's website states the following:

Our club does not charge admission prices to visiting supporters which are higher than those charged to our own supporters for comparable accommodation.

I have emailed them quoting this to ask for an explanation.

I've had  a response from Morecambe's ticket office saying away standing tickets are priced at £20 in line with home fans so it looks like an error at DRFC end. I'll drop Tracey a line now and hopefully anyone who has bought tickets already will automatically get a partial refund.

Just a heads up to those going by train to Morecambe that there are staggered train strikes over that weekend, including Northern Rail on the Saturday, which might affect your journey – certainly the last leg between Lancaster and Morecambe.

The Lancaster to Morecambe bus number 6 goes straight to the ground.

Only been there once, never saw a game of Football, it was called off as I entered the car park after torrential rain

My late son went to that game. He was in a pub near the ground when it was called off. Cue a miserable drive back to Bradford. I think that we lost the rearranged game as well, which I went to. Another miserable drive back to Bradford.
