That Moly miss took some doing...good set up for an easy chance.

Shame for Moly, as Biamou deserved his hard work there to be finished.

Can’t score them all..

Folks will remember Malcolm MacDonald in the 70s - a career 1 in 2 striker - once said if he was given six chances he’d guarantee scoring one.  Can’t remember the exact quote but that’s a career goal scorer talking.  So we can forgive the misses can’t we?

It's a bad miss. He should be hitting the target at least. But he deserves some credit for busting a gut to get in such a good position in the first place. That's been all too rare these last few seasons.

Correct mate.
The thing to do is not hide, but try to get in position for the next chance.

Three far worse misses by PL strikers yesterday.

The ball has come across him and he’s hit it with his wrong foot, difficult when its on your wrong foot, I think we can forgive him

Plus Ellis Harrison in the cup, although he made up for it with Coventry's win.

Looks like Moly having bust a gut to get there couldn't decide which foot and tried to adjust his feet. That's just an area for him to work on with his composure in front of goal. It comes easier to some than others but it can earn players alot of money.

Ellis Simms.

Harrison is still at MK ‘Dons’ I think.

Felt for Molly, after the miss he was on his haunches for what seemed like ages looking absolutely gutted and went off shortly after. Not his best game but as always he never hides.

Agreed.
Seeing it again on highlights I'm surprised he didn't take a touch onto his left foot.
Forgiven, I'm over it :-D

Chelsea fans.
What a disgrace. Booing Sterling when he skies a free kick.
Sorry that’s not supporting your team or players is it.
He didn’t miss on purpose, same as Molly didn’t miss on purpose yesterday for us.
Football supporters eh. The good the bad and the ugly.
Too many of the latter two I am afraid.  ;)

When the ball is coming across you like that you have to kick it with your head over the ball otherwise you slice it like Molly did. In another post I said even I would have scored that one but that's nonsense because I would never have had the pace to get onto it in the way he did. I am sure he knows the right technique and was probably only milliseconds away from kicking it properly. If he had younger legs he might have scored.

It’s easy for us to say now, but he seemed to rush it.

I don’t think he could have switched the ball to his left foot because a defender was closing in fast.
He took the shot with his right foot and missed.
That’s all there is to it.
Better players than him have missed easier chances.

And it made no difference in the long run. The lad deserves a few breaks for the effort he usually puts in.
