It's unbelievable what you read at times.

McCann has certainly got the ship through stormy waters and hopefully he can clear a lot of dead wood in the next few months (starting with Taylor) so he can build a team he thinks is good enough for promotion.
I think it's fair to say a lot of people feel disappointed with the position we find ourselves in especially after all the hype before pre season.
We all know season tickets sales were well down on previous years and Blunt and Bramhall in my opinion devised a plan to deceive the fans.
So looking towards next season and what we expect.........
I personally think it'll be the same old shit show, Grant will become disillusioned then leave.
Although we are winning at the moment I still don't trust this board one ounce and the sooner they leave, the better!

Happy Sunday everyone

I like how they think that TB was so clever devising a plan that cost himself in excess of 7 figures. That’s truly despicable of him!!

Just watched Chelsea fans booing their own player for scoring an og, granted it was a cracker but I'm sure he never meant it.
Some horrible fans in that lot.

They also sang to,Pochetino, “you don’t know what you’re doing” when one of the substitutes came on, and he then went and scored.

I read these yesterday.

"The difference in our fortunes has had nothing to do with Terry. Grant and the recruitment team have signed 2 loanees that have made a big difference. Grant has also managed to make chicken salad out of chicken... well you know. If we don't keep Hakeeb do you think the fans will be happy with him as chairman?"

"He still hasn’t lived up to putting his hand in his pocket.

McCann has brought players in who are out of contract at the end of season. And there playing well currently for us. SO, that been said Bramall should do all he can to sign them.

He hasn’t done nothing yet"

There's a few that just won't give TB and GB any credit. If we do well, it's all down to McCann and the recruitment 'team' and if we don't do well, it's all TB's fault.

It will be 1 less from me but we have our first baby due August so that’s purely due to circumstance. So nailed on for promotion next year

Pretty sure it was the Leicester fans shouting “shoot” every time he got on the ball.

Our failure to compete at the top end if the table this season is caused by injuries more than anything else. Whereas the fact that the fans have previously been misled by statements from the board cannot be denied we should appreciate the effort to change things this season and pray that our club's main benefactor continues to fund it next season. If he does and we can retain most of the players we have recruited this season we will surely be front runners next year.
A lot is down to luck of course and happenstance. If Mo Faal had not slung his hook I doubt we would have signed Biamou who is clearly a class above and a good prospect for a permanent deal. If we start next season with attacking options including Ironside, Adelikun, Hurst, Biamou we will be one hell of a force.

……and Miller?

Out till Jan but Grant likes a man who is aggressive and can win headers up top. That ain’t George.

Another wide player to compete with Moly and we’re laughing.

He also likes strikers that can run in behind and sniff out a chance. He signed Tyler Smith for us and for Hull. If Miller can get fit then he has something to offer this squad.

A darn sight more than Billy Waters has.

George plays on the shoulder of the last defender & will always make the same runs in behind. Once our midfield suss his runs he does indeed give us another attacking option.

In the cup game at Hull George was excellent, & probably showed Grant all he needed to see that he has another good striker for this level, & probably the one above given some good coaching. Personally I would have loved to see Miller & Joe together this season. We have lacked goals this season, & relied maybe too much on Ironside, having a fit Miller would give Grant real options, & would be a massive bonus for us without doubt.

It would be great if we kept Adelakun, Lo Tutala and Biamou at the end of the season, but with the shop window for them being Rovers all 3 could demand a good price in Lg1 or Championship sides. If that is the case Rovers are once again in trouble and hoping to find replacements, instead of looking forward to a successful season. The only thing that might bring about the miracle is ....money. That comes down to TB again.

I think Championship is a big stretch.

1 is wanted by Lincoln
1 is what 3rd 4th choice at Hull
1 hasn't played for 2 years.

1 is wanted by Lincoln? is that why we've got him on loan and has contract expires end of this season?
Personally I doubt we will get the 1st 2 but a good chance for Max
I hope very much to be proved wrong on the 1st 2

Not many strikers with Max’s all round game at this level. He’s not a proven prolific goalscorer but has aerial ability, good touch and technique along with pace. Probably a L1 player but his age and his recent injury make him realistic.

Both Adelakun and Biamou, if they continue to perform, will probably see themselves playing higher than League Two. They are very much in the shop window at the moment.

Whilst we're likely to try to sign them by offering good deals, there's always competition and we shouldn’t be surprised if other clubs with much higher wage bills, are willing to take a punt these valuable goalscorers.

Adelakun isn't short on confidence and I get the feeling he and his agent are likely to hold out for the best offer.

Biamou's a bit different, as said above re his injury and chances are he'll be more likely attracted by contract length rather than just weekly wage.

Our best hope is McCann getting in early with 'good' offers. I don't think TB will need any persuading but McCann will know it might need some compromises further down the line. I'm guessing those conversations have already been had with GB & TB.
