Lets get everyone down there and fill the place!!! Get an atmosphere like we did for the Everton game.
Mission Impossible is on! (not the film of course)
-
Well if people can’t get behind the team now, when can they.
Hopefully Wrexham will bring lots of fans too so should be a great atmosphere.
-
Absolutely nothing for us to be worried about, let them worry about us.
Everyone now knows what's required from them, we roll on.
-
Shame the club moved it from Monday to save a few quid, otherwise it would have been a good crowd.
Hopefully now blunt has gone, these penny pinching schemes will be no more.

Well done for lowering the tone. What a great contribution. You haven't been missed.

I agree with you, TS, that it would have been a better crowd on the Monday; but how is moving the game to Tuesday saving a few quid?

Chill, I didn't move the fixture.
Just saying it would have been a big crowd

Millwall at rotherham on Monday, police were stretched and were charging the club to police the match.
Why we moved and not rotherham, was to save costs. Rotherham were willing to pay, rovers weren't.

No pressure on Rovers for Tuesday night, all of that is on Wrexham.
Let's just get behind the boys again and make some bloody noise.

What a f**king clown. The club have just recorded a £2 million loss last season, covered by Terry and you talk about penny pinching. The only thing that needs that needs pinching is you.

Anyhow back to Tuesday, Wrexham had a big big game v Mansfield today, which will have marked as must win, and taken a lot of energy and mental strength, perhaps we get them just at the right time, it’s only Donny…..
goal in each half 2-0 to Rovers…

That's right, Andy, and they struggled to beat us at their place, at a time when we were crap.

Anderson will be a big miss.

Wrexham have posted a 5million lose. I thought in the EFL there were rules on how much a club can spend and how much they are allowed to be in debt. I wonder if the EFL will look into this?
-
The EFL rule did not apply to that League season ( National )
-
Missing this due to work, gutted....
-
This thread shouldn't be about finances but, just bear in mind watching the Wrexham players tomorrow, are on wages at least double the league average AND the amount up for grabs in bonuses should they achieve promotion!
https://twitter.com/KieranMaguire/status/1773393850712612920
Of course, they're all playing for the badge!
On their turnover and net worth, a £5m loss isn't bad. Likely, their income will have increased significantly again this season.
3 points will taste very sweet on Tuesday.
-
Missing this due to work, gutted....
Yea me too. Gutted about this. This match would of been so much better kept to a bank holiday monday.
Wrexham at home on a bank holiday would probably have been our highest league attendance since we dropped into this league

We are playing for something money can’t buy DBR. That’s worth twice as much.
-
You’d think that the EFL will be keeping an eye on their spending for this season. It seems they have an unfair advantage due to what the owners are spending on the club.
-
I think I'm getting a bit obsessed by ticket sales lately but anyway, there's just over 750 left in the south stand
-
I think I'm getting a bit obsessed by ticket sales lately but anyway, there's just over 750 left in the south stand
That’s 2250 or thereabouts sold inc season ticket holders. That’s good. It will be great to see a full south stand. Hopefully we sell most of those 750 tomorrow and on the night.
Hoping for 7 to 7500 home fans on Tuesday. Wrexham will bring 2500 or more. 10.000 gate under the lights would be great.

You're forgetting about iFollow, Camps. Quite a lot of fans of both clubs will opt for that tomorrow night.
I'm going for a total crowd of between 7000 and 8000.
-
We won’t get anywhere near 10,000 tomorrow night.
-
I dont think we would of got 10k if it was today. Though we would of got a much bigger crowd on a bank holiday monday afternoon than a tuesday night.
-
Would be very interesting to know IFollow numbers, must be available somewhere. In this day and age many people live and work abroad.
In my family of 5, 4 of us are abroad and 1 in Cornwall. If we lived in Donny we’d all be there.

I found counting tickets sales works better.

And on that note, there's only 1,694 home tickets left.
658 left in south stand.

So we are circa 15,000 capacity. 2,400 gone to Wrexham leaving 12,600 and you say there are only 1700 hone tickets left? So roughly 11,000 gone?
Really?
Hand on heart I genuinly hope so but not so sure. Where do these numbers come from?

Around 5000 of those will be ST holders. Some of them won't be attending for different reasons, including the streaming of the game on iFollow.

Still good news for the club and better than normal sales
-
My brother has a two to two & a half journey to each home game, mine varies between one hour twenty to one hour forty.
We’re both season ticket holders & wouldn’t miss tomorrow’s game ‘live’ as opposed to following on iplayer however, I reckon ifollow could well knock two or more thousand off the gate.
Hope I’m wrong because we’ll need to be in full voice against those Welsh buggers!
-
Why is a home game on i follow.
That is crazy. It shouldn’t be allowed.
Of course there are some who would rather sit in their arm chairs to watch.
Personally I would never do that for a home match.
As a season ticket holder why would you not go, especially as we are playing brilliant winning football.
I can’t understand that personally, you’ve paid so go, why bother buying a season ticket. :headbang:
-
Not all our “home fans” live in Donny though Camps.
Many live far away, too far to travel on a Tuesday night.

My first game in the flesh tomorrow (or today, for the pedantics) since Mansfield away. Watched Friday on iFollow and I’m buzzing.
Fully expect it to be Tommys last game for us that I’ll see so I’ll be giving him an extra clap tomorrow as he’s been one of my favourite players the last few years.

Don’t forget that our away games are home fixtures for our opponents, so by your logic there would be no games available on ifollow at all. If you try and limit ifollow access to away fans, all you need to do is register on the away club’s site to view.

All be on sky next year anyway with the new TV deal.

Yeah, I've seen, cheers.
Not the same as being there though, plus I'll probably fall asleep after an early start lol, I don't mind doing so if I've paid £2.50 for the audio but not after parting with a tenner.

Depends what you choose to remember. We've had plenty of big wins in front of our home fans but maybe, it's the perpetual desire to feel hard done by, why we choose to remember the pain rather than the joy.

Thanks, I’d not seen that. Massive shake up and probably means we’ll be on TV a dozen times.
“ From the 2024/25 season onward, this new deal with Sky Sports will effectively replace the EFL’s domestic video streaming option provided via iFollow and Club streaming services”
I reckon with international breaks, bank holidays and Tuesday night games UK exiles get about a dozen games through ifollow so not much change there for for me as a Sky subscriber (other than saving £10 a game), but wonder how it will impact overseas exiles? Will also be a lot more expensive for non-Sky subscribers.

I think there will be a lot more Tuesday and Wednesday night games and this where the majority of the live games will be shown
-
Only about a 1000 or so tickets available now in the home ends. You’d expect another couple of hundred to go between now and KO so not far off a home sellout
-
172 left in the south stand in only two blocks s14 and s21
875 left in total

I read up on this recently. Essentially 5 Saturday games across leagues 1&2 each weekend will be 1230 kick offs to avoid the blackout. So we're bound to get more games moved. It's not so great for match going fans really. Can really see the midweek games being affected crowd wise.
-

Usually esp if Telly you cast to is Smart
I used to use HDMI Lead from Laptop to Telly though if you happen to have one. If not nip into a suitable (i.e. cheap) Shop and get one

I'll retract this prediction. Looks like over 8k home tickets sold (though that will include STH's so they may not all attend). The Wrexham factor and our form must have had more of an effect than I thought.
Not sure how many are coming from Wrexham. They were allocated the best part of 3000.

GM also asked for the fans to turn out so that's another factor.

It’s going to be close to a sell out of the areas available. Don’t know what they will bring but I would expect it’s north of 2k, so around 10.5k in total would be my guess

Just reading their messageboard. Someone on there reckons they only have one block left to sell so according to them that equates to approximately 2500 coming.

My last train home to Brid leaves at 21-15 so i stream all night matches.

The crowd will be artificially high because of kids coming to see Wrexham rather than Rovers, they’ll be teenagers there thinking Ryan Reynolds is gonna turn up. But all money in the pot and maybe some of them will be converted in to rovers fans!

Exactly the same as their home crowds. The amount of Milfs attending was insane

Yes, all welcome funds towards our summer transfer kitty. Be nice to strangers wearing Rovers colours and let's not moan about queuing. Think of the money! Ha.
-
83 left in south stand. Be absolutely rocking in there tonight
-
Wrexham stayed in the Mount Pleasent last night. Surprised me but I guess when money is no object!
Crewe stayed there a few weeks back too. (My great nephew told me, he works there part time).

An early rovers goal would be great. Really get the place bouncing.
Come on Rovers. Let’s have another one of those memorable nights

I don't get this. People are saying that it's almost a sell-out. I don't know what the capacity is now, with the segregation and everything, but I can't see it being less than 14000. I believe the away end, including the NE corner, is about 3500. That leaves roughly 10500 home fans.
Assuming around 1000 ST holders don't turn up, and Wrexham bring about 3000, that's a total crowd of something like 12500 in the ground.
I just can't see it, personally.

I very much doubt 1000 season ticket holders won’t turn up. That’s 20%

I doubt wrexham will bring 3000 too.

They'll have heard that the Eco Power is the best stadium they will ever have played in and turn up in droves.

Steve, he has also co-commentated on memorable wins for us as well.
As was said earlier in the thread, people tend to dwell on the bad stuff.
He has to be better than Biltcliffe though.

South stand sold out

What a win, but at what cost?
-
I dont think we would of got 10k if it was today. Though we would of got a much bigger crowd on a bank holiday monday afternoon than a tuesday night.
Well i stand corrected. 10.5k
-
We won’t get anywhere near 10,000 tomorrow night.
Oh dear

Nice to see that in the hours following one of our best wins this season - our fifth consecutive win in all games, and our fifth consecutive win on home soil - some still have found the time to drag this forum into negativity with their tit for tat nonsense
Well done to all those who accurately predicted the size of the crowd to nearest individual. Back in the real world nobody gives a toss and we're celebrating a massive win!
