Calling statto’s
-
In the league, we had a run of five wins in League One under Moore in 2020/21.
-
How about 2 Clean sheets on the trot??
-
The 10 game form table we won 7 drawn 2 lost 1 23 pts at 2.30ppg. All we have to is keep going and see where it takes us. We still need 7 wins from 7 games to get 73 points. We need 4 points to get more points than last season
-
When did we last win 5 on the trot.

When did we last win 5 on the trot.
Second post in chain. January 2021.

When did we last win 5 on the trot.

Come on you Red & White miracle makers.

In the league, over a year ago. 11 February away at Swindon and 14 February at home to Barrow.

You’re good!!

Only two teams across all four divisions have won five games in succession, Lincoln and Rovers.
-
Like most of us men (and women) I'd rather have at least 6 and hopefully stretch to 8 or more!
Under Penney, we had that great run of 6 on the bounce, then another 5? I think to make it 10 or 11 wins from 12.
Why not?

The last time Rovers achieved 5 league wins on the bounce was Jan / Feb 2021 under Darren Moore:
Swindon 1-2 Rovers
Rovers 1-0 Rochdale
Rovers 2-0 Wimbledon
Lincoln 0-1 Rovers
Rovers 3-2 Oxford
That was part of a wider run which produced 9 wins from 10 games.
Darren Ferguson also achieved 5 successive wins, impressively winning every game during January 2017:
Rovers 1-0 Stevenage
Rovers 3-1 Portsmouth
Barnet 1-3 Rovers
Rovers 3-1 Crewe
Yeovil 0-3 Rovers
It was part of a streak which saw 11 wins from 13 games (1 loss, 1 draw).
Last night was also the first time that Grant had won 5 in a row with Rovers (and only the second time in his managerial career, equalling a run at Hull when they were on their way to the League 1 title). To also have 4 clean sheets in that run is remarkable.

Have we ever won 6 league games on the bounce?
-
Yes from top of my head remember late 70’sand perhaps early 80’s at this level Div 4.
-
In the 2003/04 season, we won six consecutive league games in October and November 2003, and seven consecutive games if you include a FLT victory in the middle of that run. It was all brought to an end with a 1-0 loss away to York City.

We won 13 matches and 1 draw out of 15 games in the run under Penney in Autumn 2003. We'll need to have had summat very similar from the final 15 games this year to make the playoffs. Maybe a fraction lower might do it.
Mark off the matches one at a time now.

Cheers. That was incredible.

Only Rovers in the whole Football league have won six games in a row.
-
Who knew we'd still be going!?
-
News outlets keep banging on about our run of wins being the first time in 77 years we have won 8/9/10 in a row.
It must be quite a rare thing for any club to do it.
I wonder how many have actually done it and his often they have done it.

I'm lost for words. My nerves are shredded.

Tbf I think that all of us are in total disbelief given the 1st half of the season’s performances.
-
Hi Hoola, hope you're OK. Do you still attend matches?
