I didn’t think he was bad at all today but Joe Ironside was keeping us in the division 2 months ago with a last minute equaliser at Sutton, he’s probably blown a huge sigh of relief mentally, ‘on the beach’ as it were and if he is he’s probably the only one I wouldn’t blame
Well I think I may have called that one wrong, he’s turned in 2 fantastic performances this week. Apologies if missed elsewhere, congrats on 20 goals for the season, our player of the season by a country mile. :scarf:

Great for the lad to hit 20, he looked very happy to score and I presume hit that target.
After a few poor displays, or not up to his early form at least - he has been a monster in the last two games, I was praying for Grant to take him off as soon as we got the third.Wrap him up Grant, we have no back up.

So Joe has got to twenty goals for the season now.
From memory he has scored five pens.
He has eleven league goals from open play, plus the five pens which give him the 16 goals on the BBC website so he must have four goals from open play in cup competitions, if my limited maths calculations are correct.

His 20 goals this season are 16 league goals and 4 goals not in league (one in league cup against Everton, two in FLT (Mansfield and Forest) and one in FA Cup (Accrington).

He’s played nigh on 200 games in the last 4 seasons. For what he does and the knocks he gets that’s incredible.

Well deserved.
Mr Consistent all season, whenever he’s played (which has been most of the time). I hope he’s got a few more in his locker before this season comes to an end (hopefully at Wembley).
