That's it.
-
I had to leave at 2-1 down, got something on tonight, so I'm taking all the credit.
Turns out Philsky wasn't the jonah after all.
-
That's it.
Not sure I can even string 2 words together,
So well done BST…
-
f**k me
proper old skool thread title - well done that man (https://forums.hfboards.com/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/clap.gif)

Can’t spayk.
-
I am absolutely exhausted.
That dopamine rush is something else eh.
-
When the third went it. Jesus f**king Christ. What a club
-
The most exhausting game of football I’ve ever watched! I’m bloody knackered
-
Absolute limbs in the West Stand I’m just a husk totally spent
-
It was a hugging complete strangers moment when that third goal went in. I don't think many people were in control of their bodily functions for 30 secs after that.
Not sure whether I need a stiff drink or counselling.
We've had some good times with some huge comeback wins before but.....totally agree with the description....f*ck me!

It’s not often the West Stand burst into song, but after that third goal it was f**king mental

I still got told off for standing up too early in my celebration

I think we’ve finally got the mesters you were after Billy!

…errr…errr…Nope, sorry, I still don’t have anything sensible to say.
-
It’s 2 hrs since the final whistle and a am still recovering.
Got to go down as one of the top 10 Rovers games I have ever seen.
Based on the importance of it possibly top 5
We need 4 more points to be 100% certain due to our inferior goal difference.
We could still finish 5th which would be quite remarkable.

The fight-back games always live long - Rovers 4 Manchester City 3 in the 50s was the original for me. A true measure of a team is the confidence to pull it back whe you are down.
-
Simply brilliant!! What a beautiful game!!
-
Who remembers Rovers 4 Aldershot 3 from 1-3
-
Had to have a cuppa and a lie down. Mind you, I’m 8 hours behind you lot.
If Carlsberg did Saturday mornings.
-
What a game. What a team. Absolute dreamland.
-
Who remembers Rovers 4 Aldershot 3 from 1-3
Not me.
Coming back from 3-0 down at Cambridge ro draw 3-3 was quite something and a turning point in season 2003/04
We missed a penalty in 90th min as well.
We then went on a 7 game winning run after that.

Yes went to that one…
-
What a game!
At half time I said to my brother "well it was nice while it lasted"
After that second half though, as Billy says, f**k me!!
-
And in what would have been the sprinkles on top of the cherry on the icing, I was one off £520 in half time cash draw. Congratulations to whoever was behind me
-
Few beers tonight to soothe the old throat.
-
Don’t know what to do with myself after that. Tension, nerves, despair, then hope, euphoria, and relief has absolutely done me. Need to stare at the wall for the rest of the evening.
-
I have long understood
Rovers
Absolute shite or absolute brilliance
There isn't much middling.
-
Did not see that result at half time. We didn't look like we knew how to get through them. Outstanding work from ironside to win (and score) the penalty which set everything else in motion and then the tactical genius of mcCann to change the game up like that. Barrow had no plan for us then. Superb, will definitely sleep well tonight whenever I can get my heart rate back to normal level
-
My half time contribution to the chat was that if we got back to 2-1 early enough we could get something from the game.
I didn’t expect what we got though.
At 2-2 I just knew we would win.
-
Jamie Price was in the West stand Bar before the Game and wgg by en I saw him thought of that Goal at Elland Road, today however was even better than that!
-
It’s amazing how momentum swings in games isn’t it? I remember us being 3-0 up at OBV to Halifax years ago and once Halifax pulled one back you could sense the shift in energy.
Same today. Once Joe stuck that penno away then we went to a back three, the energy palpably shifted. Once we were level, it was inevitable.
Staggering stuff.
-
Emotional tonight. I have been with my wife for 9yrs and had to explain to her and her family that I keep going because we won't be sh!t forever. Coming home beaming tonight I think she has started to get it. Picked up my 7 month old thinking, I can't wait to show you these days. We clearly still have work to do but, we have our Rovers back and that is better than any playoff place for me this season.

It's just this season they started out shite before they got the memo that it's meant to be a brilliant one
-
Does this get any better?
Can it really?
Just wow .
-
I had to watch the highlights back because everything from the second goal onwards was a blurred memory of excitement, encouragement and euphoria. I'm not going to fall asleep easily tonight, I'm still buzzing!
-
Wembley
-
We used to be shite
But now we're alright
Walking in a McCann wonderland.

Y’know, forget about it’s been x number of years since we won nine league games on the bounce, forget about stats, ratios, xg’s….that game, second half, I KNOW I will never see, never feel, never experience it’s like again sat amongst 10,000 Donny folk who rose as one when our 3rd went in & danced unable to speak when Joe slotted home the 4th.
UN-EFFABLE-BELIEVABLE!!!
-
Nearly as good as the legendary Dover match - 0-3 half time, then 3-3,3-4 and eventually 5-4 when Dino back heeled it to Glenn Kirkwood to smash the winner into the top corner i
-
A special game v Dover for sure given the circumstances and what we did. I was there and it is a game I will never forget
Similarly yesterday was incredible and loath as I am to compare the 2 I would have to class yesterday's performance , result and atmosphere better than Dover game.
Unbelievable yesterday . A game that turned a 73 yo into a "stupid" young kid again. It's a funny funny game football as yesterday proved for all to see
Drama from the off , then we were down , then seemingly "out" , then like Brentford it all turned round
Thanks to brilliant tactics the 8 in a row Team suddenly appeared and took cynical Barrow down. I said if we get 2 we will win and we did it. Brentford all over again but the 18 seconds there took much longer , at times yesterday it felt like 18 hours
The kid in me was throwing v signs at the Ref and the cynical Barrow team and their fans. NONE of them could see me but I didn't care . We had beaten Barrow who were crushed...we had beaten the Ref who had seemed determined to make it about him and we had beaten the odds
A case of Rovers till I die and more games like that and I will have to be calmer , more sensible so they actually don't kill me
