I find this:
https://www.live-footballontv.com/
a handy site for finding out what live matches are on, when they're on and what station they're on.

Great news. Just not on Sky pages, yet!

Yes, but you'd be better off buying a month pass, especially if you shop around for a deal - I pay about £17 per month for NowTV sports pass and I can still cancel any time. A day pass is over a tenner, I think. My offer finishes in October, at which point it more than doubles, and will then be getting cancelled, at which point they'll likely offer me another promotion of just under £20 per month.
That said, some of the current offers on Now TV seem to tie you into 6 months minimum.

Get a fire stick. Work out the rest.

I can only see a 6 month option with Nowtv at £26.

Myself and bro in law will be watching the away leg from Stow on the Wold Social Club.
I bet we will be the only Rovers fans in there.
-
It’s definitely on. I checked this morning on my sky tv box - I don’t subscribe to sports but I can see the schedule.
-
Starts at 17:15 a 15 minute build upto kick off

Hey Hound! That's not too far from where I live. I've been wondering where to go to watch. I refuse to have Sky in my house. Are there any criteria I must meet to be allowed in? It'd be great to buy you a beer at long last. And watch the mighty Rovers too of course!

You only might get offered a better deal when you cancel an existing subscription (citing the cost as being the reason for cancelling). Then they might offer you a much better deal to retain you. But there's no guarantee what offer they'd give, or even that they will give you an offer. I get the impression that retention offers are made by bots so anticipating what algorhythms they're working to isn't an exact science.

I will be listening on i follow for the first leg, then at the match on the Friday.
-
The other match between Crawley and MK Dons is on first, KO 3pm.
I'll be watching both games.

Great stuff Bob.
When I phoned them the lady I spoke to asked what time it would finish.
I said, probably about 7.15 to 7.30 ish.
She said that was ok because the Bingo starts at 8pm and the telly goes off !
The only criteria I know of, and I made the rules for this event, are as follows:
We have to be loud and proud.
Rovers shirt expected.
You have to buy me and bro in law a pint.
You have to let us buy you one back.
The Social club have a rule in that non members have to pay a £2 entry fee.
I look forward to meeting up with you, we will be there from about 5 to 5.15pm.
-
Deal Hound! I better dig out a shirt then! You don't happen to have a postcode for the place do you? I could Google it, but I'm continually captivated by the snooker! Alex and I have been to a few sessions in Cheltenham. It's addictive.

I migrated south from the people’s republic of South Yorkshire to study teaching in cheltenham. I had a culture shock! Couldn’t believe Yorkshire and Gloucestershire are on the same planet let alone in the same country. I couldn’t believe how much different folk are like down there to us.
-
Too right Les. World's apart. It's old hat and irrelevant now but 95% of the folk down here in the early 80's had never seen a slag heap or a pit. The depth of southern ignorance of the north, and, tbh, northern ignorance of the south, was profound. I suppose the big question today is: has anything changed?

Mother in law is a native of Cheltenham, she’s naturalised Yorkshire now after being up here nigh on 65 years

Appreciate your comments Bob and Filo. I studied in Cheltenham from 1988 to 1992, then returned to Sheffield to teach. Surprisingly I found folk in Swindon easy to get along with, they seemed friendly and down to earth, misplaced northerners.
-
Lol Les! I do some of my shopping in Swindon. It reminds me of home. Well, home of 30 or 40 years ago. Run down, squalid, deprived and unpleasant. Swindon is a town on the slide. Once Honda left the economic heart of the place disappeared. No railway works now to keep the place going. The Council are trying, but the solutions they're employing just result in more offices instead of places to meet, buy and sell. The town centre is horrific these days.

-
Always seemed to have a very grey sky when I did some work there.
However I would recommend the old town area of Swindon, which seemed to have a little bit still going for it, with a few bars and restaurants.

There are actually quite a few spoil heaps around where I am which are the remains of the Somerset coalfield. There's a big one near Radstock that is now an SSSI. And of course there is still mining going on today in Gloucestershire in the Forest of Dean.
-
Aye. But the Forest of Dean is a very, very excluisve place..... Populated by inbreds, dwarves and warlocks apparently. And none of 'em ever come out the place either!
Lol. The forest of Dean is the local version of 4 fingered types from Barnsley and Rotherham....

I left U.k. in 1967 forever .You are right folk are different when you leave your hometown but there again so are we to them ?
