17:30 - a date for the nervous of heart and a hope of a positive 90+ minutes of footie.

It's been a wondrous 2024, from near the bottom, to a chance of PROMOTION!  :woohoo:

It’s very localised Dave, no rain in Skipton but we’ve had a downpour in Sutton

Bought a day pass to Now TV for £14.99 then discovered the Now TV app on my smart tv has disappeared since I last saw it!

Last minute panic but fortunately we have a Roku stick on our other TV  and that has the Now TV app, so I’m saved.

Can’t do with last minute panics, not good for my heart!
Logged in now, waiting for kick off.

I’m cracking open a box of brew dog lost, pizza, chicken bits and fries on the go, with some dips for good measure. Feel free to have one, no double dipping you dirty beggars!
Very nervous right now - come on the red and white rovers.

Let’s have a sing song:

In donnys fair city,
Where the girls are so pretty
I first set my eyes on sweet Molly mollone
As she wheeled her wheel barrow
Through the streets broad and narrow
Crying
 :clapping: :clapping:

Just done a trip to Preston & back, fine both sides, some right downpours in the middle, seems to be heading east if anything.

Typical of him though, isn't it? He'll frustrate you 4 or 5 times then pull some magic out, that's what you get with him.
Title: Re: Crewe A V TLOD
Post by: Herman Hessian on May 06, 2024, 06:23:46 pm
Crewe generated virtually nothing other than the threat from those long throws - Rovers far and away the better of the two sides and really should be a regulation cruise to victory if we can weather what I presume is going to be a high-octane start to the second half by the home side...

We looked loads better when we finally started to pass it rather than just hitting it long.

We need to score next as they still look a threat.

Also ground staff need to be pulling the advertising boards closer to the pitch ready for Friday

We’ve not been at it for two thirds of that half, but we’ve gradually gained dominance, Crewe had a bit of a meltdown after we scored

Crewe were surprisingly energetic giving us no space at all. Then as soon as we scored, Crewe became surprisingly defensive, just allowing Rovers to take the initiative.

yup - I'm expecting him to go on a mazy run that ends up in a penalty - there's no way that defenders can front him up with any conviction, as even he doesn't know where he's going, let alone the opposition

if Crewe kept our allocation down to avoid the home support being outsung by the Rovers fans, they really shouldn't have given us more than a couple of hundred tickets - for a 'big' home game, they have been utterly pathetic throughout - what a complete embarrassment...

i'm sure it will have been a few old Donny boys taking advantage of slutty Barnsley mares - they should be pleased, our genes keeping the finger-count down to manageable proportions on their side of the great north road...

I thought he was in the Gillingham game too.

don't think he's had much to feed off there or this evening to be fair - trying to make the most of not very much; have thought all season that we need a ball-playing defensive midfielder to 'quarterback' our attacking play and make the most of his runs which never bring as much reward as they possibly could with someone to pick him out...

All according to plan, even the lucky pint goal helper and topless darts!

that will do - first want was a clean sheet.  Not over by far, but it's a great result tonight.

Just need same again on Friday without the slow 20 mins which I don't think will be repeated as we are at home with close to 13,000 rovers fans behind the lads

jesus - Adelakun needs to pull his finger our of his arse - more attacks foundering at his feet than by the intervention of any Crewe defenders...

Typical of him though, isn't it? He'll frustrate you 4 or 5 times then pull some magic out, that's what you get with him.

He played the ball in behind the defender for Craig, leading to the first goal.

Sure it said water in there, and not piss?

Haks had a good chance in the second half and won a corner, hopefully Crewe think he’s nothing special so not to bother with him at the eco power.

Regarding Hacks, he can’t be brilliant every game.
