It can't be, Wolfie. The capacity now is nowhere near that.

Stop scare mongering. It’s a couple of hundred less than it was when it was built. It’s comfortably 14k. If the stadium capacity was 15234 originally it’s not far less now, except for a couple of hundred in the area around the screen.

I don’t think the ground holds that anymore? And with segregation it defo won’t.

Some seats have to remain vacant for health and safety purposes. I think Martin could enlighten us more on this.
I personally believe the capacity is now less than 14000, but I'll hold my hands up if I'm wrong.

I’d be interested to know what the actual capacity is now.

Think it’s a case of how much segregation you have.
I would think we could get 14.800 in if the segregation was limited to the minimum acceptable.
You would need a solid line of stewards either side of both 2 sets of supporters.
So if you had a larger space with a fabric covering the dividing seats then I would imagine we would be down to 14.500. There was a reduction when the large scoreboard was put in also so I think 14.400 / 14.500 would be about right. I am only giving my estimates as do not know exactly.
Originally the stadium was built with a capacity of 15.280 I think it was.
Most we have had is 15.001 v Leeds in a league game. So we had about 280 unused seats for segregation in that game. Leeds were given over 4000 tickets.
Middlesbrough had over 4.200 for a game I think, as did Newcastle if I remember correctly.
