A big screen, on the back of the East stand, facing the hill, just a guess....

Don’t think the police would be too happy, on a night when they’re already stretched, nice idea though.

What a huge expense for no return at all!

There is no reason the police need to turn out at the ES on Friday night. With a very small away support by comparison to the home supporters. Unlike Crewe which had total police overkill I thought.

The police will Risk assess the fixture, taking into account the current level of ‘Rovers fever’ in the town and will be paying overtime out left, right and centre.

Completely agree on all accounts.

Rovers fever as you call it doesn’t translate into a need to over police.
It’s going to be a balmy Friday evening. The nighttime economy will need policing in the town. Theres a lot more going on than just the football.
It will be a low risk game policing wise. There will be a relatively small travelling support group. No previous issues between the two teams/ supporters. And it will be policed accordingly. The club will have extra stewards on for sure, probably pulled from other south Yorks clubs.

You perhaps were not at the Southend game. Where rovers supporters applauded the travelling support.
