A good omen, surely.

Policing and stewarding that day not a template of crowd control. Think there were six different pitch invasions, a streaker and someone threw either a pie or a bottle at their keeper. Absolute chaos at the end. Don’t think Dagenham ever recovered from that. Not even sure what level they are at these days.

Lad who equalized for them (previously with us - Mustapha?) got a full recycling bins worth of empties pelted at him. Then Greeny decided to swear in his interview. Rovers on tour!

Tarkan Mustafa. Was a good player but never made it into league football. Should have stayed with us.

Weirdly, some of the streamers they let off when the trophy went off are still in my parents attic somewhere, great day!

I just hope tonight is smoother than those Chester and Dagenham games.

Yes Happy SFT Day

We saw the one and only Promotion Goal scored that day.

I had to laugh (again) at the Stadium Announcer saying at the end " if you don't get off the Pitch there will be no Trophy Presentation " and I thought "so what who needs a Trophy .... We are BACK"

Still would have liked Daggers to be able to do a Lap of the Stadium though.

Remember the lino getting a few launched at him too. Glass ones , which seems odd now

What a day it was.

On the subject of former, popular players.

Seen on Facebook that the Afro Goal Machine is in the South Stand tonight with his kids!

They did okay in the end. Ended up in League One for a few seasons.

Just missed out on play offs this season in National League.

Jesus you’re right. In 2010/11 they spent a season in League One. Totally passed me by.

21 years later and that Led Zeppelin riff from 'Kashmir' still stands the hairs up on the back of my neck.

Honourable mention for 'Just for Tonight' by One Night Only seems to be my lasting memory of beating Leeds at Wembley, and of course Kaiser Chiefs Ruby (Donny Donny Donny DONNY) from Cardiff - funny how these songs crop up.
