Rob Burrows RIP. Horrible disease.
This guy deserves a mention in my mind.
-
Oh f**k.!!
Knew this was inevitable but it’s cut me up no end..
Not the first time he’s brought a tear to my eye, the other was when Kev carried him over the marathon finish line. That’s true friendship.
I’m gutted, quite frankly, and it takes a lot to do that.
RIP..

Rest easy now Rob, so sad. What a truly horrible disease.
-
Devasting news. Awful disease. A great sportsman.
-
He’s at peace now RIP a true legend, tears shed here tonight what a horrible condition
-
I cried my eyes out with this news. His wife and children, Kev and his many friends and colleagues must be heartbroken. What a send of he will get. 41 years old. No age. MND is horrible. I have seen it first hand when I used to nurse.
-
This news has ruined my night. It's so sad and I'm really gutted for his family and friends at this bloody awful time.
RIP and God bless.
-
RIP Rob, what a truly remarkable and courageous man, all your work and support for the MND community will never be forgotten. Sincere condolences to your family and friends.

Horrible news, even though we all knew it was coming.

Pocket rocket with a massive heart..... very sad news and I'm personally really sad to hear the news. Watched him as a player and loved him - watched him accept the MND full on and loved him. Great man and a complete legend.....
RIP fella....

Spoils your weekend this news doesnt it?
Can only imagine how his special friend Kevin Sinfield is feeling right now, along with his wife & kids obviously. The outcome was inevitable but god lifes so cruel at times. R.I.P.

I'm a huge rugby league fan, truly devastated by this news. Abide with me at the challenge cup final next Saturday will cut deep with the rugby league family and beyond.
RIP Rob Burrow
-
Yes we knew it was coming but it still awful news when it happens.
Thoughts are with his family right now & Kevin Sinfield who was just unbelievable in what he has done to help both Rob & raise so much money and bring massive awareness to this awful disease.
R.I.P Rob. You were a true legend and will not be forgotten.
-
A genuine legend both with the Rhino’s and what he has done in raising awareness of this dreadful condition. Rest in peace Rob, and many thanks for all the wonderful memories. My thoughts are with your family and friends at this tragic time.
-
ERIP Rob, what a legend and true Gent
-
I thought Luke Littler would be a good choice for SPOTTY 2024.
However my vote now would go to Rob Burrows. Amazing talent and an amazingly humble guy. What he and Kevin Sinfield have done over the last five years shows what sport can do to raise the profile of a horrible illness with no cure.
Rob Burrows a true Legend.

I’ve just watched his final message, what a brave fella, never gave up. RIP Rob Burrow.
