One of the best players in the world; but will he get through the competition?
These dirty b*st*rds tonight are doing their best to cripple him.
-
Probably the best 45 minutes I can remember seeing from an individual player of any nationality at any level. Unreal with and without the ball.
Second half he's still been excellent but without much help from those around him. No surprise he's been taken off after being kicked up and down all night.
-
Risky decision, but glad he's gone off for safety reasons.
He makes me proud to be English!
-
He is always going to attract the aggressive attention from opposition players.
It will be something he expects and will have to deal with if the refs don’t give him protection.
-
The word "generational" gets thrown around too much in football... not in the case of Bellingham though!

Thought Rice was outstanding as well cool & calm all game
-
So many quality players in so many positions its a real headache to get the best team
-
Why should refs give him protection ???
Don't talk daft it's a contact sport
-
I reckon Jude has been watching the Biggins goal against Barrow.
-
I reckon Alexander Arnold has been watching Jamie Sterry’s style of a long forward pinpoint pass
-
He was really good first half but I think people saying it was the greatest performance of all time are pushing it a bit.

He's definitely watched his style of defending 1 on 1 situations ;)
But Bellingham could be the man to drag us through this tournament, proper presence on the pitch - real swagger, not seen swagger levels like that for England since Gazza.

Maybe Rooney in 2004 in Portugal comes close.

Outstanding young man, on and off the pitch.
20 years old! Deary me. :)

He is our Gazza
Think he will end up being better than Gazza and hopefully will have a longer career.
Needs referees to stamp out the hatchet challenges he is going to be on the receiving end.
If we can get Foden performing to his best at the same time we are going to be formidable.
My concern is who should play along side Rice in midfield.
Trent worries me. Yes he has got a 40 yd pass but he can’t tackle or at least make any kind of physical challenge.
It was a good job Rice was on his game or we would have been in big trouble yesterday.
In fact as good as Bellingham was offensively Rice was as good defensively.
He is developing into a world class player in that holding midfield role.
As Selby ( Brian ) says if we don’t go all the way this time and win the bloody thing then will we ever.
Erickson and Capello messed up big time with the talent they had at their disposal.
Southgate has achieved a Euro final and a World Cup semi final now he must go one step further and “ BRING IT HOME” & that goes for the 2026 World Cup also.
What an opportunity we have with this group. We must be brave on the pitch and kill teams off. If we sit back on leads then we will win nothing.
Belief Belief Belief. The words to the players should be “you are better than the rest go out and show it.” SHOW NO FEAR. Let them fear you.

Wharton and Mainoo look really talented young players. Definitely upgrades on Kalvin Phillips.
Foden’s best position also happens to be Bellingham’s. And Saka is better than Foden as the right wing option. So Foden should be on the bench as back up.

Just come across this on Facebook, what a boyo he is.

(for anyone who can't see it, a post from TNT earlier this month of a post match interview of him, fully fluent enough in spanish).
