Just so folk are aware, I got an email from the club regarding booked car parking for the season, it looks like you have to register your number plate with the club to avoid car parking charges, probably so that the APNR cameras can avoid sending an “invoice” out
-
I got the same. It said survey but if you don’t do it then there could be consequences. If it’s to register for APRN why don’t they state this.
-
Got the same email. It seems you can only register 1 number plate. As I car share this is not practical as we alternate cars for each home game, (also the away games we go to if travelling to the game by bus).
I suspect I'm not the only one with this issue.
Need to speak to the club.

I go to the Eco to play in the cages on a regular basis but don’t always go in the same car.
I also go to pick up tickets and occasionally to park for away day coaches.
Only being able to register one car would be an issue for me too.
-
If this is ok with you all I’ll ask collectively about using various cars etc & report back here. I have the same problem. Sometimes travel with my son & when he can’t make it, I travel alone. I’ll send an email now.

It might be possible to complete the survey more than once, but definitely worth checking with the club

Yes same here, don't always use same car & can only register 1.

That would be great, much appreciated. :scarf:

Good for me thank you.

The whole situation has not been thought through very well by the looks of it and a lack of consultation with the fans.
Smacks of just a money making scheme and doesn.t reflect at all in a good way on the club.
After working hard to get people to use the facilities on offer such as the Gym and cages for small sided games, this is likely to keep people away.
-
Some people just aren't happy unless they're complaining. Does it actually affect you?
-
Yes it does, I purchase a car parking ticket and I have checked all yesterdays emails and todays and I have not as yet had any notification of registering my car registration and would not know anything about it if I hadn't read this thread.
Anyone in the same situation if they don't have an email address, if they don't have a computer, or have not been contacted and are one of the many that don't read threads like this will be at a disadvantage and are likely to have paid the parking fee for the season and then get a fine.
That is when it becomes frustrating when nobody physically wants to talk to you, all you get is a number to actually pay a fine to a company who just want your money, and they might think that's it I will get a dodgy stick and not bother coming to the ground again.
Hopefully more thought and correspondence is forthcoming from the club and everybody who has paid good money to park at the ground don't get mugged for more.
-
For 1 car?
I would suggest you contact the club to find out why you haven't had said e mail have checked your Spam.... no not the tinned meat. Do you renew online? Anyone without an e mail address or a computer wouldn't be able to renew online perhaps they will get a snail mail. Have they got the correct email address for your nursing home, the offer still stands. How you still drive at 100 plus amazes me
-
It won't bother me Raven I would just clone your number plate and rock up, whether you had a pass or not wouldn't bother me. Joking but as London ULEZ has found out cameras have their problems, mainly for some innocent guy or girl miles away.
-
And my number plate is?
-
Selby makes a good point about fans getting a fine and deciding not to go to the stadium again.
After the club has worked hard to get supporters back it will be a silly move to alienate them and drive them away.
-
And my number plate is?
Could it be R4VEN.
-
It could be AR53OLE
-
Is this only affecting those in car park 2? I usually just use the YourParkingSpace app
-
It also affects parking on Alick Jeffrey Way.
-
So can you park outside the club shop to buy something without some authority wanting to take your money?
-
So far those of us who have paid for parking in CP2 have had a stcker which gets us in past the attendants at the entrance. I don’t see how anyone without a sticker gets in on match days. Will we still get a sticker?. Maybe this is trying to fix a problem of illegal parking on non match days? Curious.

If people only have to register their cars though how will it stop illegal parking on non match days.
People who register their cars, as far as I know, won’t have to say why they are parking at the stadium.
-
Do you have to pay for parking on Alick Jeffrey Way when visiting the club shop on non-match days?

Do you have to pay for parking on Alick Jeffrey Way when visiting the club shop on non-match days?
I have been told that you can only park in marked bays, definitely not against the stadium sides under any circumstances but if you register your car it is free parking.

Bloody hell, I usually park right outside the club shop. Bugger it if I'm breaking their law, I'll just not go in the shop again. f**k'em.

I play 5 aside footy once a week at the stadium and use this link to book paring and lasts 24 hours.
https://qr-validation.yourparkingspace.co.uk/?company=55&space=30596810&uid=af6e45bd-d6b4-484f-8cda-f3a67d580c66

They also not thought about Motobility cars , as we may be changing ours around january so will be a different plate number
-
Evening everyone. I’ve been in touch with the club & can share this…
The club is compiling a list of FAQ’s & working with the third party involved. The answer to the question about people using a second car etc will be available for us all to see by this time next week at the latest.
This is well before the start of the season clearly & gives the club plenty time to give us answers. I will follow this up & report back here.
Regards.

All this hassle about parking on non match days is ludicrous and unnecessary. Why would I want to go to buy a shirt if I am likely to fall foul of some rule I don't understand. I rarely attend live matches because it is too much trouble, and now even iFollow is harder or not possible to use. Does anyone really want us to follow our own football club and make any money from us? I am too old to be messed about.

Me too.

Anyone heard anything more about this yet?
-
Two days time, I’ve just been advised.
-
Thank you :scarf:
-
Simple answer, I will never enter the area with my car again, and definitely will not buy from the shop, people don't tell me twice to get lost.
-
What’s rattled your cage BR?
-
Used the booking in system today, really easy.
-
Here’s your update from the club as promised.
Multiple Vehicle Registrations
For those supporters with seasonal passes who wish to register multiple vehicles, they can register multiple vehicles.
Just email name and vehicle registrations to reception@clubdoncaster.co.uk
There is an awareness that this leaves the system open to abuse with one person having one pass but trying to park multiple cars simultaneously but the system can track the second vehicle trying to enter on the same seasonal pass, which will prevent this problem.
Immunity Window
Car Park 2 has a 20 minute immunity window for anyone visiting the stadium but there will also be a tablet installed in the club shop (open 7 days a week) which will whitelist a vehicle for longer than 20 minutes.
Supporters parking at the stadium for away games
Supporters using the stadium for parking vehicles and then travelling to away games will just need to park in car park 2. No further action will be necessary.
Signage
More detailed signage will be going up in car park 2, advising those using of when/when they don't have to pay or register their vehicle
General management
The Parking Charge Notification timeline notification from parking is as follows
4 days before any action is taken (during this window supporters who make a mistake can let us know and we can rectify).
Day 5 a letter is sent to the user with a call to action of challenge the fine or pay the fine within 30 days.
Even at this stage if supporters have got caught out they just need to contact us and we’ll resolve any issues for genuine mistakes.
An FAQ document will go out but ultimately any questions email reception@clubdoncaster.co.uk
Any mistakes made – email reception@clubdoncaster.co.uk
Both club and Your Parking Space are here to help.
-
Well that seems clear and very fair.
-
Just to let people know as well ,the Travelodge has changed it's policy from a3 hours to 1 hour only
-
Apologies for bringing this back up but for the simple soul I am I'm still a little confused!
I live out of the area but will be travelling to Donny on Sunday, whilst over there I intend buying a ST and probably pop into the shop for 10 minutes. Can I drive into the car park and park up without fear of getting a fine?

You need a photo for a season ticket now. I'm not sure how it works if buying in person

You can drive into the car park without fear of getting a fine.
Just pop into the main reception and explain why you are there and it takes about twenty seconds to register your car for free parking.
Don’t use the QR codes in the car park otherwise you will have to pay.

Just a thought
I see you can book parking on one of the parking apps in all 3 car parks.
How will numbers be controlled on match days and how would bookers with no parking pass get into the ground?
