Tommy deserves it.
-
Great role for him that. Praying he gets it.
-
Good luck to him. What an opportunity, nobody deserves it more. Hell of a gig for your first coaching job, one of the top academies in the world.
-
Would be a great fit in that role, top bloke very intelligent footballer
-
Couldn’t get a better role model.
-
Very articulate in addition.
-
I hope Tommy gets the job. Top man and excellent role model.
-
If he does get the job we may be in a good place for a decent loan player or two down the line.

Hopefully more Federico Macheda (first spell) than Reece Brown…
-
Man Utd mate reckons he's got the job. He'd never heard of him. I put him right!
BobG
Update: Man U mate changed his story. On trial at the mo. He played for Utd U21's v Chester last night. Apparently Utd have had a policy for a couple of years of playing an older coach actually in their U21's. Tom Huddlestone and Paul McShane the two previous incumbents. Utd won 3-1 if it means anything.
-
Yet Man Utd are said to be getting rid of backroom staff including coaches
-
Sacked over 200 people!
Assuming a £50K salary average for that lot, it would save £10M a year - plus at least 20% more on top for NI, pension, accommodation, hardware, training and tech support. Redundancy payments are tax deductible I believe, so the capital cost wouldn't be quite so bad either. But then, it ain't capital they're short of is it?

Current player in player coach roal Tom Huddlestone has just left to be first teacm coach at Wigan. Huddlestone has been in roal last 2 years. He's a couple of years older than Tommy. Huddlestone clearly had a very good career with 4 England caps, but I always felt he could have achieved more. On his day one of the very best passers of the ball around.
-
Did he get the job?
-
Did he get the job?
Not yet I don't think. He played today against arsenal u21 but lost 4-2.
-
Got the job

Well done Tommy
COYR
-
Legend, very well deserved. A role model for all.
-
Fantastic well done Tommy
-
Brilliant so chuffed for him
-
Good lad TR! Well Done!
May give us an opportunity for a loan or two if required.
-
Well done Rowey. Guess we will see him later this month when we play Man U U21 in the next Trophy game
-
Who was the last player we had move to Man Utd?
-
I don’t know their names but didn’t a couple of our juniors make that trip recently.
Previous to that, probably Harry Gregg.
-

Harry gregg probably !

Wasn't it just training? Wasn't Bobby one of em?
-
Were they brothers? I remember 2 lads going to ManU maybe 5 or 6 years back but I'm damned if I can recall their names....
BobG
PS. I know, (I think!) it wasn't those two brothers who went to Leeds. Or am I imagining that too now...?
-
Bobby Faulkner went about a couple of seasons ago.Two of their lads came our way. Bobby was recalled as we had injuries if I recall it correctly.,

No it wasn’t just training.
Two of our juniors went from our club to the MU academy.
Selby will know who they were.
I believe that their parents got some significant “incentives”.

The club also got money as well hound. I think that it was over 100k.

Thought you said talking about ex players wasn't welcome here ?
-
Be nice to get a good crowd and a bit of a send off if he is returning soon in the cup.

Thank you chaps.

Wondering how a potential young star is getting on isn’t the same as commenting every time an ex player playing in the football league score. There progress is easily available to anybody that is interested.

Oh, I wasn't aware of the very fine margin of ex players we were allowed to talk about. Thanks
-
No mate. Where did you get that stupid idea from?

It's literally what you said on the alfie may thread

No. I didn't. Read it again

You should be in politics with that level of denial
-
The point is that perpetually resurrecting a topic that has been done to death for three years or more is utterly pointless.
Quite surprised you can't see that the tbh.
Cheers!

You can talk about whoever you want but why continually block the forum up with information that is widely available via multiple sources? I’m sure that most Rovers fans know when Alfie scores and that doesn’t influence our score or performance that day or any future fixture that involves the Rovers.
-
All still at United.

If you don't like the subject of the thread, don't open it, stop trying to dictate what people can or can't talk about.

Don't like it, don't read it. Stop moaning about it

Think you're thinking about the McKay brothers (of the famous agent Dad from the experiment years) - at least one of which is now ripping it up at Doncaster City.

Thank you chaps.
Sadly, we do still occasionally run across manifestations described in Jeremiah 5:21!

I am not moaning, merely expressing an opinion the same as you did.
