I didn't realise that the Dons were playing at 19.30 next weekend after the DRFC home game..... be a quick turnaround for the ground staff....!!
-
Just wondering if any of this weeks opening day fixtures will be effected with police been pulled all over the place, with the half wits smashing up our towns all over the place.
-
Should we need any policing for next Saturday?
I don’t think that there will be many away fans for this fixture.
-
I know it’s only Tuesday, but just having a quick scan of the number of tickets still available and it doesn’t look like we’ve sold many so far. Quite surprised by this to be honest, I thought we’d have got a big crowd for this one. Still time obviously but we’d need alto sell quite a few to break 6500k by the looks of things

It'll be classed as a Police free game.

Mate was on earlier. East stand was extremely empty.
Say what you want about the charity shield but floaters will watch that instead. Also the game is on sky. Holidays too.
Anything above 6500 would be okay as they won't fetch more than 200

Doesn’t feel like the club are pushing this game.
We’ve filled the stadium the last game, where is the desire to get some of them supporters back?
-
I thought there’d be a proper buzz about this game, with the new signings and the end to last season. I know it’s holiday season but looking like a pretty poor turnout, who wants to watch the Charity Shield, absolute garbage!

Where is the desire from supporters who were treated to a good show last season?
Maybe further indication many still in holiday mode, 500 season cards are yet to be picked up.
-
Don't worry the 500 who haven't picked up their cards will still be counted as attending :)

We played Accrington 4 times last season, they have very few fans and are not a particularly enticing prospect.
I wonder what proportion of fans actually follow how exciting the new signings are. Perhaps we overestimate the extent to which the average fan follows what goes on in the close season. Also, the prize of play-offs and a Final was what will have attracted the more casual attender at the end of last season.
The enthusiasm has got to be built up again, but last season’s run should mean that it shouldn’t take too long. Let’s just hope for a convincing winning start.
A big crowd might take the pressure away from the newcomers anxious to show their abilities.
EDIT - I meant to say the opposite - that if there WAS a big crowd the anxiety would increase!
-
Win Saturday and again vs Newport then the game vs morecambe could see higher home attendance people will always support and want to see a winning team
-
Can't wait for the season to start. It will be my 60th season following Rovers and I've got a feeling it could be one of the best. Come on lads....

-
There's 2 more from our house going who didn't make any games last season...
-
Last season the average Accrington away crowd was 250 people.
-
Let's not forget it is on sky as well, if you can watch it for free.....
The new TV deal will undoubtedly hit crowds.

Most people have been watching Rovers every Saturday from home without sky. Crowd even sang it v Crewe

Wow RTR, Well Done! Happy 60th!

Acct lost all their preseason games. I doubt many of their fans wanting to make the trip to Donny if they think their team will get a hiding.
-
Mate returned to buy his tickets yesterday online and the seat map looked a lot better in terms of sales. Not rammed full but at least movement since the start of the week. What it also indicates is how little STs sold in the east stand compared to west and south.
-
Their strike force is lifted straight out of National League North - Knowles and Mooney from Boston who scored 18 and 16 goals last season respectively.
Farrend Rawson is a big dominant defender who will give Ironside and Sharp a tough time.
Last time out we beat them 4-0. But they have lost star players in Nolan, Pritchard, Longelo and Leigh since then.
With their limited resources and loss of John Coleman, who was arguably a big factor in them punching above their weight, they are one of the favourites to go down.

Good assessment of Accy’s prospects, ncRovw.

You can’t watch it live in the UK!

You can today on Sky Sports +.
I'll be watching in Sky as I'm over 150 miles away. I'll be at Newport next week however!
