Title: We will lose games.
Post by: Red wizard on August 17, 2024, 07:35:45 pm
We have all heard the term, It's a funny old game. There has never been a truer phrase about the beautiful game imo. Its why we all love it. I'd wager we bust a lot of bets today. What I'm trying to say is alot of teams in this league can beat the top teams on there day. 2 good wins one at home the other a midweek night match away at Salford followed by a long trip to Newport in a week will take its toll. I'm not saying that's why we lost but it will of played a part. Maybe GM should of made a few more changes today, hindsight eh. We go again and move onto the next game, work on things we didn't do today and it's down to GM and his staff to look at the data and see what went wrong and try to make sure its a blip. No one at the club will be panicking as we ate a dam good side who will be right up there in the top 3. Some fans have gone into complete meltdown mode over a loss away to a tricky team. Fact is there good at home and make it difficult for teams. Think they have a new manager as well playing the first league game at home against a well fancied team. Teams will raise there game against us just like we do against bigger clubs. We just go to stick together when the going gets tough. Up the rovers.

It's all about bouncebackability.

It's a funny old game alright , we should have beaten Mansfield Town on opening night and lost and should have lost today at Lincoln and won .

I've always given it 10 games personally , it's not 100% reliable as you know given the run Rovers put together in the last 10 games last season but generally speaking you'll not go far wrong .

Individual errors were at fault, not the system of play, Rovers will win far more than they lose, Saturday is another day!

Just a shame as a positive result may have put a few more bums on seats for the Morecombe match.
