Post by: Drover on October 12, 2024, 05:11:36 pm
How is he still manager of Edinburgh City? Won only his 5th game as manager so far out of 42 games, drawn 6,lost 31, win ratio of about  9.76%,he must have something on the owners, management of them

He has a vision. Let the man be.

Been to Bonnyrigg v Edinburgh City today. McIndoe with baseball cap pulled well down over his face, looked like he was trying to hide. Edinburgh were woeful to be fair. They’ll struggle not to finish bottom.

That is so sad to hear.

Macca will always be a massive part of this clubs history & progression as a player. He was better in this division in his day than Molyneux or Gibson, way better in my opinion.

Pile in with your protestations, but recall the man who hugged that line at Belle Vue where standing at the Popside wall you could almost reach out & touch him, our ‘God on the wing’.

Aston Villa, Man City, Arsenal…….”Who are you, who are you? “.

Agree with all that. That goal v Arsenal! He was top quality every week. Best winger I’ve seen for us. I loved Windy Miller too but not as good.

The downside of him was everything else it seems, sadly.

Edinburgh City have big financial problems and they have had for a while. Their woeful performances might not all be down to Macca.

I loved Macca when he played for us,and he gave me many fantastic moments while in the Hoops, nothing against him,Im just surprised at him still in the job with such a bad record, well done to Edinburgh city for loyalty to him,I don't think ive ever come across a manager with such a bad results record continously at 1 club and still in a job,I kept looking at their results to see if he could change things around for them eventually, but not so far, interested to see how long it will go on.

Blimey, well done RedRover45, that's mightily impressive!

I confess I'd never even heard of Bonnyrigg!
