Great result and sounds like a decent performance. Did we play 3/5 at the back?

How did Mcgrath and Olowu do today? Not seen the game and Cook can be a hand full.

Defence was solid all game.  McGrath had a great chance to score a third goal with a header right in front of goal but put it over the bar.

Hurst was incredible. Said he was the ready made Adelakun replacement given the chance to start games.

The more attacking selections paid dividends Hurst was unplayable with Molyneux who got stronger as the game went on and ran rings around their defenders . Our away form is way more potent than our home form

I thought those missed chances were gonna come back to haunt us.
They had a few chances too in a good game, but we should have been out of sight, Jay should have buried that header (he was immense again though).

Hurst has always been a very good player. He scored some crackers before he had that lengthy layoff. He’s a confidence player and needs games.

Today he reminded us we have a serious talent on our team. Made a couple of clankers first half but then Mols did too.

Second half - unplayable - unlucky with that fantastic strike that the keeper got fingers to. How he got that ball out to Mols with three defenders around him… And the run for the second - he made it looks easy…

Well done that man.

With better discussion making in the first half when through on goal we could have been 4-5 up at half time

Great result, glad their keeper isnt ours , they would be getting dogs abuse for the first goal and a few parries

What a player Jay McGrath is going to be.
He hardly gave Cook a sniff today. The only time he got a head on the ball he scored.
Can’t see how Anderson or Wood get back into the team other than injuries because McGrath and Olowu are looking the real deal.

What a horrible thug Cook is, he manhandles players, leans on and in, gets into all sorts of weird positions and always, always manages to get his head onto balls he's absolutely no right to and he always scores against us, what an absolute ****

Joe Ironside, please take note!

McGrath and Olowu managed him and later Oliver magnificently today.

No criticism at all for their goal, Cook took the header superbly well.

But Kyle Hurst …… bloody hell.
He was brilliant today, I’m so chuffed for him.

Around the time we scored our 2 goals we were fantastic. We totally outplayed City and it was a pleasure to watch.

Thank heavens they didn’t fluke an equaliser in those dying minutes because we totally deserved that win.

I can hold my head up next week over here in Bantam Land - thanks Rovers!!

Completely agree Neil. All of their fans in the Corn Dolly agreed that the best team won.
Living in Bradford I know a lot of City fans who will be disappointed but not feel robbed or cheated.

Hats off to McCann again.

I thought he had massively over-reacted to Tuesday with the changes, but he called it perfectly.

What Tuesday showed up was that we were becoming one-dinensional, in always attacking down the flanks, and having no Plan B  when opponents doubled up on our wingers and denied space.

The trick today was having Hurst central. That seemed to totally bamboozle Bradford, who gave him acres of space. And he utterly smashed them. By far and away the best example of breaking quickly, passing sharply and looking to take the ball on the half-turn and advance rather than play safe, since Moore's side in 2020
.

Hurst was absolutely superb.

Much more of that please.

Easy tiger, your last two sentences seems like something the ‘Strictlly’ judges would say before their paddles go up!!

Kyle was excellent in his role & well done McCann for being brave enough to go at a City with such an attacking formation given their home record. It’s Kyle’s shirt to lose & as I said before the game, very much his now to go on & ‘own’. I love him as a player, direct, skilful & bags of pace. Just needs to show it eight games out of ten & not four times because it is a pivotal position in the way he wants to set his side up to play.

However, there were so many good personal & team performances out there today from the keeper the centre backs, the wing backs, the front players running into the channels to stretch the City back four they all played their part today in a fantastic win & performance.

Sounds like just the bloke you need on your side give him some credit. I hated playing against players like Cook, never knew if you were going to get the elbow or the fist. Worth his weight in gold.

Nice one Alan.

A great analysis of the game, and reflects the majority of opinion on the Bantams’ fans forum.
At least they are gracious in defeat and prepared to admit the scoreline flattered them.

I think you have misjudged my post.

That was me giving him all the credit, that's why i said for JI to take note.

My thoughts on today:

We met a Bradford side away from home who came at us no matter what. We win that game 100% of the time. That is what we are good at.

We struggle when there is a low block, or teams who play physical, that's the only thing that beats us. Said it before when teams in this league want to go toe to toe at football we win.

Few points:
- TSL good distribution
- Joe/McGrath class again. Kept a top L2 striker quiet all game until GM moved JM out the middle to his own admission.
- Hurst showed us what he can do, although for me Gibson could have done similar today. Hurst could be the man that can unlock those low block issues we have the way he floats past ppl and makes spaces.
- Billy, nice movement for the goal but even when he is nor scoring some of the touches and passes he plays are class......another yellow though which is FRUSTRATING will be suspended soon
- Bit anxious at the end but dealt with everything thrown at them.

Deserved win but another game where we could have been out of sight. Still need to gel 'up front'

You would appear to contradict yourself in your last paragraph. If it was “…another game where we could have been out of sight.”, wouldn’t that suggest we are starting to gell up front?

I think we’re being ‘smarter’ with our dead ball set pieces (after the endless pumping the ball into the box against Bromley Globetrotters) too. Jay only had to head the ball down from the corner in the second half & it was a certain goal. He had an excellent game yet again by the way.
