When was the last time we won 3 away games in a week?

Being away suits our best style of play. Direct and counter attacking. At home, when we are often forced to have loads of the ball, it doesn’t suit us. We were miles better on the ball last season.

Plus 13 out of 15 games we have scored first we have won, so we can sure see a game out..

It is starting to remind me of the 12/13 season where our away record was phenomenal yet we were bang average at home. We all know how that season ended.

We should be okay v Notts County then next week too.

Is the difference as simple as not finding another Matt Craig, or other factors?

Infuriating, but 3 consecutive away wins and only 3 points to show for it!

Momentum is all well and good but I’d have loved to have had 9 points tucked in our pockets before the NC game.
Other thing is our home form needs brining more into line with our away form, so no better time to improve that, this Saturday.

We still have 3 consecutive away wins in the league, as the OP points out.

That's right Nick, and I took consolation over the Bromley defeat by asking myself whether I would have been happy with 6 points from the games against Swindon, Bromley and Bradford. The answer is I would have taken that quite happily.

Two wins and a defeat from every three games would probably be good enough for promotion.

Agreed hound, but I’d rather not have a defeat this coming Saturday. We simply have to be on it this coming Saturday and, with another home game the week after, I hope we can keep the winning streak going.

Average number of points for top 4 positions in tier 4 since 3 points per win in 1981-82:

1st: 90.4
2nd: 84.9
3rd: 82.1
4th: 79.2

All figures adjusted to a 46 games season by using points per game (ppg) for seasons with fewer games

2 wins and 1 loss in 3 games = 2 ppg = 92 points = above average for champions

Our current ppg would give 85 points in a season = above average for auto promotion

Is this season going to be higher scoring points totals because good teams at top will have fewer than normal slip-ups against lower teams, or might it be lower scoring points totals because there are so many good teams that will take points from each other? I really don't know.

Yes mate, no one wants to lose what is a very big game on Saturday.
It should be a great atmosphere with the away end full again and the first goal, as ever, will be so important.
I hope to see you there.

Totally agree Alan.
Let's get a good win in this big game.
