Hard to believe that Coventry have sacked him.
-
Seems very harsh after all he's achieved for them, alot of which were under very trying circumstances too.
-
Shameful considering how far up the football pyramid he’s taken them
-
Coventry Fans not happy with the decision either...
-
I thought the thread would be he’s got a job higher up. Always seems to be a good manager and a decent bloke.
They must have someone good lined up. McSheffrey I guess.
-
Very strange decision, has to be more to it. Didn't they have a poor start last season, with all the ground problems going on aswell. Did a great job there, sure he'll get a decent club if he chooses too.
-
Ridiculous decision. I think they’ll probably regret that, especially if he joins another Championship Club.
-
I also think he’ll end up at a Championship club, and my money is on Middlesbrough because in my opinion it’s only Carrick’s name that’s keeping him there
-
He has been extremely loyal - he must have had offers - and given Coventry's lack of money when he took over, he has worked miracles.
The Barnsley fans did not like him when he was there though despite he fact that he seemed to bring them success too. No doubt Tyke will comment.

A crazy decision
-
Great manager, Cov have mucked up there.

Would Middlesbrough sack someone when they are one point off the play-offs?
-
I didn’t say it’s going before the weekend, but that’s where he’ll end up

Ask Gareth Southgate. Pretty sure he was sacked when they were in the play-offs and maybe only a point or two off the top.
-
He confronted a few disgruntled Cov fans after a defeat a couple of games back, maybe that was a factor too.
-
Reminds me of the Birmingham fiasco when they sacked their manager (forget his name) whilst in a playoff spot.
-
Really hope they go for Moore
-
One of the worst firings I have seen. Having lived in Coventry for 30 years, Robins has been one of their finest managers.
Cov fans are upset
-
I am sure Mark Robins won't be losing too much sleep over it.
All professional football managers accept that getting sacked is part of the job.
Most club owners are businessmen who haven't a clue about football and don't care a jot about it's supporters. They are like kids with a new toy. It's only a matter of time until they get bored with them and want a new one.

He'll drop Vale as soon as the Coventry area code pops up on his phone...
