It's a frustrating start for Rovers. Kelly has made some good runs but the final ball lacking. Sharp and Moly been unnecessarily off on 3/4 occasions.

Yeah Carlisle should have scored then
Title: Re: Carlisle vs TLOD
Post by: drfchound on November 23, 2024, 03:25:43 pm
Sharp was put into a one on one situation early on by Mols but took too long over it and a defender got a tackle in.
Carlisle have just had a good chance but blazed a shot over the bar.
Title: Re: Carlisle vs TLOD
Post by: Barmby Rover on November 23, 2024, 03:31:01 pm
Half an hour gone, not a single shot on goal, neither have Carlisle, but they are a team struggling at the bottom of League 2.....

Molyneux makes a really bad tackle on Mellisa of Carlisle and gets booked.

We’ve been awful. Just can’t get a grip of the game. Carlisle should have been in front with the chances they’ve had. We have not got going at all. Expect some changes from GM.

He’s picked a side with only 2 out and out midfielders - very very odd. It’s almost as if GM has set us up to lose? Only Broadbent on the bench!?!

We can’t change much in the second half - maybe Ironside and Gibson for Sharp and Mols? But that doesn’t change the system.

Not sure what Grant’s playing at!

Mollys was only a yellow, and rightly so, never a red card challenge

Give over. Had it been the other way we would have been screaming for a red card.

This is the way I saw it he was on a high paced run from the half way line and just slid in on him, personally thought it was a bit out of control and missed the ball, took the man, we would have wanted a red if it was the other way around

again another team we should be beating but we haven't laid a finger on them

We have no killer instinct. We should have lost at the end because we can’t finish teams off

Kettering will be licking their lips

Give over, why should we of lost?? Just because we didnt score?

If we had taken the lead earlier in the game injury time wouldn’t have been as nervy. I have no idea if their goal was offside or not. We had zero goal threat. If we are aiming to be champions that needs to change. In the end Teddy saved the point

At least Anderson was fit enough to make the bench so should be ok to step in next game

Anderson actually came on in the last minute after Jay was sent off.
Sbarra made way after having been on as a sub himself for 15  minutes.

Made sense to sacrifice sbarra, smallest man on the pitch and just suffered a bang to the face

9 points from 6 matches is more like relegation form than promotion, without a change quickly Rovers will start tumbling down this division.

9 points from 6 games is 69 points over a 46 games season - border line playoff form

Yes we didnt score, doesnt mean we should of lost because of it, could of more like it.

Was offside. The big bald striker wqs offside and was interfering with play when teddy palmed it out by stepping over the ball

He didn't just step over it. It took a nick off him. Correctly called offside.
