Simply not good enough. We won't get promoted if we can't win our home games. Yes, there were some mitigating factors today, but the pattern of the last 4 home games has been the same; not turning up in the first half, conceding first, then making alterations to save the game and rescue a draw in the second half.
I just don't understand why he altered the team from the excellent Fleetwood victory. If it's not broken, why try and fix it?

I agree. If you find a winning formula, why change it?

I thought today the problem was he didn't change it enough. Many want two up front, I do not at home.
I just thought we looked like a team who'd played three games in 7 days and it showed massively.
Our home form hasn't been good enough and we still have work to do to get the wins, but we're not far off.

I know it is frustrating, especially as someone who only really goes to the home matches now. All the big performances come away, which I suppose is just reward for all those who spend their time and money following the club all over. I still think we’re in a good position. It still seems the team hasn’t yet clicked and I think with the size and quality of our squad we should have an advantage over our rivals, in a very tight league. As long as we don’t lose anyone major in Jan and hopefully maybe get a player or two to sharpen up the team, we shouldn’t be far off. Our home form will get better when the weather picks up and we’ll be flat track bullies as we come into the final straight!

Exactly, which is why I mentioned mitigating factors. However, I can't remember any of that applying to the draws against Crewe, Notts County, and Salford.
We're not good enough at home, and we can't keep relying on our excellent away form to accumulate most of our points.

I’m not having that the team were tired today. The one thing we didn’t lack today was energy and I saw nothing different from today and the other turgid performances. We just don’t ever get going in first halves of games. That’s nothing to do with travelling and being tired, it’s poor management. Bailey and Molyneux have been and are still being ran into the ground game after game. Only Fleetwood and his suspension was Moly’s first game where he hasn’t started and Bailey is bound to be dead on his feet. We look so comfortable with 3 at the back yet as soon as we play at home he goes with a 4 and we start games horrendously. We don’t stretch teams, everything is played in front of the opposition, we continuously give Molyneux the ball when he has no space to run into, a man in his back and his only option is to play back to Sterry. We then pin our hopes on Ironside winning flick ons to get us in behind and it just does not work. Why on earth is McCann sticking with this system? Teams love coming here, stay compact, close the space, head and kick everything and they will give you something. 10 times out of 10 we do give them their goals (which they very often don’t have to work very hard for) and we end up chasing our ar$es in the second half. A back 3 with 2 wing backs gives us width and gives Molyneux, Hurst etc freedom to move around. Nobody will tell me different.
