Seven points from the last six games.
Massive improvement needed, or it will be a third season on the trot in League 2.

Jeez, don't say that, I am sick to the back teeth of watching div 4 football.
-
The way we are playing we are not a top 3 team. We don’t improve we’ll again be in the playoffs.
-
We have played well in a small proportion of our games. Grimsby away, Fleetwood away.
I have seen a couple of away and several home. We are not aggressive enough in midfield and our forwards are too isolated.
No way promotion material at the moment.

Given yesterday's performance, if we don't improve we won't even make the playoffs.
-
If you listen to Grant he thinks we are playing well. We havent won since October at home.

Its been the same for a while now.
If we had converted those two early gilt edge chances would we be having this conversation now?
We were playing well enough to create those chances, the issue was the execution, if both players had the same chance again i'd expect them to score 8 out of 10 times.
Its these small lapses of concentration that are costing us. The two errors that Broadbent had leading to their goal, how often would that happen, once possibly but two in the same move ? Unlucky for us, when you take that goal away what would the score have been because they for all their heavy handedness and bluster, they were not good, it just looked skewered because we were chasing the game.
GM needs to keep his nerve, stick to his best team and formation and just like under SOD the results will come, we just need to be more proactive, smarter and take our chances, we have plenty, we just need to start to convert a larger proportion.

Thats exactly how I see Danum. It was a tough game against a team who despite their lack of ability will be up there at the end of the season because they are very good at what they do.
Those early chances go in then in my opinion the games done & its 3 points for us!

Their lack of ability saw them easily able to strip us of possession and their press was far more effective than anything our 'more able' players could muster. We gave them one chance and they executed it with speed and precision, they gave us two chances and we fluffed both.
Lack of ability? I think you need to remove those tinted glasses.

Expectations are high and Grant has added to that with his interviews and ambitions. For me we are playing ok but need more to go up. We've played enough games that we should have gelled far better and so some questions do need to be asked as to why.
Most teams create chances in games and could say it would have been different if we took them.
We're missing an edge and spark.
I personally like the energy Clifton brings to the team. Still not convinced on Broadbent.

We only need Craig and a forward with speed and it will all change. It's fine margins like last year proved. Keep behind them, keep going Mccann will sort it in Jan.

Were not aggressive enough up front and most haves lack a high tempo along with too many players just lumping balls into empty spaces and not looking for the runners off the ball . McCann has a style of play that unless all the players are putting a shift in it lacks results .

The quality of the teams we have played in the top half of the table is not impressive and the fact that we have been beaten by Bromley and Harrogate and only drawn at home to Cheltenham shows that those in the bottom half aren’t notably worse.
And Fleetwood apart (when perhaps we just went for the win) there is little evidence to suggest that we will suddenly improve as confidence dries up.
Furthermore with the trend downwards is there really evidence that we can sustain a top 7 position?
This is not panic, this is realism. It is a time for serious reappraisal of existing resources and how best to deploy them. Is it always even right to pull off 3 or 4 of the starting 11? Does it help their confidence to know that some of them will never get 90 minutes. It is not basketball where you are rotating to preserve energy, it is indicative of the initial selection failing and not for the first time, and trying another set of players in the hope that they might be able to do better.
