For the first half of the season so far McGrath for me. What a signing this lad is, just hope we move on enough to keep him but if we sell it needs to be BIG bucks.
TSL must be up there? On a free end of season, would take him?
Only for fun lads, let's keep it positive for a change!!!
If voting for A.N.other put the name up

Can't make my mind up between McGrath and Olowu, I think they've both been the equal of each other up to now this season.
-
Olowu has been quality! Needs a new deal quickly.

Agree 100%
Shouldve done his deal last yr instead of close/westbrook IMO
-
I think it's fantastic that McGrath has shown so much in a short time and quite rightly he's getting plenty of plaudits.
For me, Olowu just edges it with his mature performances and actually fulfilling the potential we knew he had. He's also great with the fans and humble with it too. A top example of a professional footballer.
-
You would expect the vultures are circling for Joe Olowu. He’s got everything really and is just getting better.
Expect we need to go up to keep him.
-
Gone McGrath, he's Mr 100% all time time, rarely injured and some of his crunching tackles and distribution out have been excellent. Olowu close second. There's a bit of a gap then to those others, and I'd include Bailey and TSL in that list as well (and probably drop Kelly out - too inconsistent).
-
Molyneux? 7 goals and 3 assists this season in 19 league games, 25% of goals scored.
-
I went Olowu, think he's been really strong this year. Took a few mates who haven't seen Rovers before on Saturday and they thought he was class.
Kelly
Moly would have been a fair shout up until recently but he's really dropped off - it's been a half season of two halves for him. 6 goals and 3 assists in 13 games (1,100 minutes so a goal involvement every 120 mins) up until Bradford, and since then it's been 1 goal in 471 minutes. Pretty much in line with our own drop-off as a team - correlation or causation?
-
McGrath for me, he’s got so good so quickly.
If there was an award for most improved player Joseph wins by an absolute country mile.
Well done to both of them, partnership of the season for sure.
-
It’s neck and neck for Joseph and Jay for me. I have been impressed with them both
-
What’s Kelly doing on that list…. A lot more deserving players imo.
-
On the fence between Jay and Joe but no. 5 just shades it for me. What a pairing though I love watching them play.
-
Joseph for me. Sign him up. Please.
It speaks volumes about the first half of the season that there aren’t any other realistic candidates beyond these 2 centre backs.
Come on rest of the squad, step up or we’re going nowhere again this season.

Think McGrath has been our find of the season, without a doubt, he's improved and has made the spot his own, unthinkable just a few months ago. Growing into a younger version of Wood, which is high praise indeed.
For me Olowu has been solid, commanding and a safe pair of hands at the back where we aren't blessed for pace. On more than a few occasions is pace has come to the rescue and saved us. He's managed this season to eliminate the errors that he was prone to previously and has demonstrated a solid and determined attitude. He's now showing everyone the quality that he possess that some of us always believed he had right from the off. When you couple all this with the fact that he's a genuinely grounded and decent fella to boot then there can only really be the one winner.

McGrath and Olowu were top of the pile because they are my two picks.
Sharp in there to split the room.
Kelly in there as there has been a significant debate over another prominent on loan CM.
ALL TO PROMOTE DISCUSSION/DEBATE
Last option was any other.......so pick that and say who you want?!
Christ.
I didn't say it was my top 5
My worry is, as mentioned above, our 2 CBs are up for player of the season......that isn't the best news!
Time for some Jan signings to freshen up and put a challenge to the lads.
I hope as a clube we are desperately trying to extend both Joe and Jay's deals ASAP. These are the future of this club, be that in longevity or income.
-
Asked the same question on Twitter... the options were my top 4 players this season.
McGrath and Olowu the clear winners... https://x.com/VikingWay__/status/1869324976849096977
-
Olowu player of the year and McGrath young player of year
-
I brought a friend on the £5 offer, not been impressed by Kelly that No22 says I.
Had a blinder well deserved MoM today. My friend didn't stop taking the p!ss all game
-
We've 2 CBs in those 2 where if we go up they'll be fine in the league above.
-
I love Jay but I think he showed us yet again today why he cannot be our POTS just yet.
Too many costly mistakes but he’s still learning and will only improve.
-
We have got to announce an Olowu extension ASAP. That would be a big Jan signing for me.
-
As it stands for this season so far, the only consistently good players are TSL, Olowu, McGrath and to a lesser extent Bailey and Molyneux. That's partly the reason we are bumping along really. Not enough players performing regularly. Although to be fair, not that many players actually play regularly these days.
-
A lot of the team/squad aren't playing game after game this season. Doesn't help
