Team selection tombola in full flow again - no Senior at all, Anderson benched, Gibson & Kelly back in and looks like a 4-3-3.
TSL
Emmanuel Olowu McGrath Fleming
Bailey Kelly Broadbent
Moly Sharp Gibson
-
Very sparse crowd by the look of it. Come on Rovers!!
-
Anyone not getting commentary?
-
Can't hear anything on audio
-
Yep no commentary on the video stream
-
Can hear crowd noise but no commentary
-
Sounds like they’ve put us on Tranmere commentary
-
A bit sloppy at the back there. We're lucky Tranmere have displayed very little quality so far.
-
I'm watching and we seem to be turning the ball over regularly... looks a bit blustery, but there seems to be little quality.... from either side.
-
Gibson has one on one.... just has to score - poor shot.
-
two quick bookings for Tranmere. Kelly having some influence..
-
Looking a bit the second best team at the moment as though they are the home side. We seem to be struggling at the moment. A bit like last week.
-
We simply aren't good enough to play out from the back.
Don't know why we persist with it. It creates far more chances for the opposition than it does us.
-
Poor decisions again when we get around the oppositions box
-
Not at the races here... very sloppy..
-
Great block from a shot by Billy
-
YESSS Olowu 1-0
-
Get innnnn
-
Yesss … Olowu header
-
…from our very best player!
-
Scrappy goal.... just like the game.
-
Scrappy goal.... just like the game.
Very well directed header!
-
Scrappy goal.... just like the game.
Who cares if it’s a scrappy goal - might give the lads a boost to their confidence and their play.?
-
Flying header from Moly hits the post
-
Another yellow for Tranmere...
-
West stand lino and ref are awful
-
Players dint seem to celebrate much, like they forgot how...lol
-
We’ve been better the last fifteen or so minutes. Felt more dominant. Still need a lot of work though
-
That flying header from Molly would have been a candidate for goal of the season had it squeezed in off the post.
-
Another yellow for Tranmere...
That should have been a straight red, deliberate elbow on Kelly

And for comparison Bailey just got a soft yellow for barely a foul
-
Tranmere down to 10 - clear second yellow for Tranmere player
-
Tranmere down to 10
-
Tranmere down to 10
Not really a shock.
-
Gibson shot from a rebound saved - good save but maybe he should have done better
-
Going by the BBC live feed feed we seem to be getting a lot of shots in
-
Sitter missed by Moly
-
Moly clean through and keeper saves...
-
How hasn't Mols put that away? Great opportunity to kill this off.
-
So close again - we really need to put one of these away
-
And according to the Sky live feed Bailey's booking was for a "bad foul". I suspect it's an auto fill box.....

Keeper saves again
-
Kelly scores
-
Kelly 2-0
-
Superb from Kelly. Kept going when everyone else switched off!
-
Needed Kelly to show them how it’s done
-
Only 2-0. This could’ve been a massacre
-
Ha ha, Tranmere defender more concerned with losing his shorts than stopping the run of Kelly. PK took his goal well.
-
Could do with more, but hopefully that puts it to bed
-
Should be 6 to be honest
-

Was about to say the same. Yes it was unfortunate for the defender but he was still pulling his shorts up when Kelly stole the ball and he continued to do it!! Cost his team a game.
-
Well Done Patrick
-
Another elbow there on Bailey - he should be off also...
-
Finlay again this time a foul on Bailey and still no red card
-
Glad to see Gibson taken off.
-
Tranmere just subbed their two players on yellows - probably so they avoid another red...
-
Hurst scores
-
3-0 Hurst
-
3 nil, Hurst showing Gibson how it’s done
-
Kelly took one off molyneuxs boot
-
Good win but should have been more
-
3:1
-
Absolute giveaway goal to Tranmere
-
Pissing about trying to be clever
-
Due to piddling about at the back when no need to do.
-
So sloppy. Doesn’t spoil what’s been a decent performance but certainly takes some of the sheen off. Not to mention a hit to the GD.
-
We've switched off again - Tranmere could have had another and possibly a penalty....
-
Same as last weeks goal
-
Does Emanuel have written into his contract that he must do a step over every time he has possession of the ball?
-
Why does GM routinely sub off certain players even if they are playing well (Kelly and Fleming) and then substitute with negative players like Close and Sbarra?
-
FT 3-1
A result we all would have taken beforehand, but not a performance to match
-
Game over. Good to get three points in the bag at home.. shame I couldn’t go.
Merry Christmas everyone.!!
-
Great win but made hard work of it. We get ourselves into no end of trouble with our playing out from the back and getting caught with the ball. The less said about Gibson the better. Hurst showed him how to do lt. hope for different line up for Boxing Day.

Always one isn’t there….
-
Good to win the game and it really could have been five or six nil.
The subs changed things for the worse but I understand that GMc wanted to give players game time and possibly rest up some with the four up and coming games being really important to us.
At 3-0 with twenty minutes to go I was hoping for a couple more to boost the goal difference but the absolute give away goal for Tranmere left me me feeling quite angry and I left the stadium in a not particularly happy frame of mind.
Still, a win is a win and keeps us in the race for auto promotion so perhaps I’m being a bit harsh.

I think that makes two of us perceptive enough to recognise questionable judgement. The result is pleasing, but if we are to sustain a promotion challenge we need to play better than this.

I wouldn't necessarily say we have to "play" better. We definitely need to finish better. We could and should have scored at least 6 today with the not too difficult chances we missed.
-
I think we are already sustaining a promotion challenge, being in the auto promotion slots after 21 games..??

“Sustain” means keeping up the challenge, so it’s the future I’m talking about.
