Whats up with this lad, bags of talent but the attention span of a goldfish, never seems switched on

He’s shocking.

If this new lad is any good then Gibson won’t be starting many more games.

Loads of talent. Wrong attitude. Doesn’t get stuck in. Past games when chips are down he goes missing.

I don’t see how he can start at Walsall, we’re going to need to properly battle.

Looks disinterested, slow and miles off it today, when he came off Grant made a point of trying to G him up etc, maybe he’s got other stuff going off, that said should have scored at least one today !

Amount of chances he has had to score this season and he just does not take them.

Would love to get inside his head, bags of talent but can't seem to get himself up.
Was nice to hear the South stand singing his name, we all want you to fulfill your potential, Gibbo.

Thought he was ok today. Should have scored admittedly but the way he takes the ball in tight areas and creates a yard is good. Adds an element of control at times. Reminds me of Cops at times with his technical ability.

I criticised him in a recent post for his poor showing in lots of games but today I thought he did well, apart from his finishing.
He had a decent game but should have had at least one goal.

I thought he was slow to react when we had chances of a quick counter, numerous times

Seems to stand around spectating too much in games when loosing ball . Not withstanding his lack composure in front of goal.

He’s not really a run in behind player is he. He looks to come short.

I thought he played well today. Him and Fleming both did well down the left flank.

Put in some very good balls in that spell at end of first half. Created a few chances as well. He is the most obvious confidence player in the history of the game. If people get behind the lad we would likely see even more from him.

Even more so than Kyle Bennett??

Same can be said for Molyneux who's probably missed as many. Same as Hurst.

Gibson has the highest ceiling of the 3.

Thought Gibson was ok other than the one on one

Don't think Gibson suits playing on the left and cutting in tbf.

He’s absolute dog shit and should be nowhere near the starting 11 sorry just my opinion

He was unlucky with the shot that deflected over the bar as well.

Should have buried the chance in the 1st half the keeper had read it and was almost down waiting for it

That’s why if you listen to the Kelly interview after the game he was told the keeper was making a decision to go down early so lift it over him that’s exactly what we started doing.

Gibson just needs a goal, think he is putting pressure on himself to be perfect and it’s weighing on him, hopefully the win will help the lads relax a bit and build the confidence that they have in each other

I do not agree with any of the posts who say thought gibson was ok today.
He was shocking both on and off the ball, as many have stated, he just looks like he is not interested.
Today when our keeper got the ball, he made no attempted to move quickly into a position where T2L could have attempted to move an early clearance in his direction. He stayed close to their defender, almost like gibson was marking him.
On the numerous occasions he lost the ball there was no attempt to chase back in anyway to challenge for the ball.
At the present time he his a complete passenger, offering nothing to the team.

Not a patch on Adelakun, I’m afraid! Part of the reason for our lack of ruthlessness. And I agree with the work rate criticism - if he loses it, he isn’t going to get it back.

Thought Gibson played well, no real stand out performers. Both Gibson and Moly missed good chances, exactly the same as last weeks. Needs a goal without a doubt but played some good stuff in and around the box today. Keep patient, sure he will come good.

At Wimbledon there was a guy stood there singing Jordan Gibsons on fire followed a couple of minutes later by really slagging him off and saying he should get out the club along with Anderson

As said by another poster, apart from the one on one I thought he had a good game yesterday.

I also agree with those who say he sometimes appears to be standing waiting for the ‘action’ to come to him rather than making movement to offer himself up to a pass however, his close control & ability to play those ‘tight triangles’ near the touch line, his pace & control with the ball is as good as Moly’s in my opinion although technically he’s not in the same bracket as Copps.

He could have had a couple of goals today & left the defenders standing when he received the ball & ran at the keeper for his poor effort on goal but let’s not forget, Kyle was probably on the bench today for his glaring miss on an open goal last week yet put that ‘to bed’ with his goal yesterday.

They’re both ‘confidence’ players who are not “gash”, what a numpty comment about Gibson.

Their keeper made a couple of outstanding saves in the second half & yes we should have come away against 10 men with a hatful of goals but we’re back up to third in the table & the Boxing Day game is massive if we’re to overhaul Walsall.

A shot which is low and on target, but gets blocked never looks as good as the one that hits the post or just goes over the bar. The fact is that the effort on target always has a chance and yesterday both Gibson’s misses were low and on target. He might have chipped over the GK and scored the first chance, but he didn’t have enough time. 2 out of our 3 goals yesterday were low and so was Fleming’s which struck the post.

Everyone’s opinion must be respected, however he missed 4 clear chances. Some on here don’t appear to appreciate the concern of some posts, but this the criticism is not just about his performance in one game, but multiple games.
We cannot carry the guy in any more games, we are in a difficult position, whilst sitting in 3rd, there are lots of clubs around us and some with games in hand and the leaders moving away.
The work by the coaching team needs to be done away from games, I really hope Jordan can resolve whatever his issue is, but we have a battle in front of us and we need everyone stepping up to contribute.
