-
Billy and joe upfront hope they have a field day and get a few each
-
Strong line up. Hope for a win.
-
What formation is that, is molly playing thru the middle?
-
Wouldn’t surprise me to see Bailey/Broadbent dropping deep so we’re essentially a back 3 giving licence to Emmanuel & Fleming to get forward. Doesn’t look to be much width otherwise.
-
Is it 352
Emmanuel playing Right side defender
Molyneux playing RWB
Fleming LWB
-
TSL
Emmanuel
Olowu
Bailey
McGrath
Fleming
Broadbent
Kelly
Molyneux
Ironside
Sharp
Would be my guess
Not sure that front 2 has the pace for a counter would have gone Hurst over Sharp myself. Could be a useful impact sub though.
-
Looks like a counter-attacking line-up. Is McC playing them at their own game?
-
What’s happened to Jamie Sterry? Is he injured?
-
What’s happened to Jamie Sterry? Is he injured?
Possibly not, maybe it’s just squad rotation.?
-
Pity no way of watching and worse no Final Score
-
How have we started?
-
Pity no way of watching and worse no Final Score
It’s on Sky Sports +
-
How have we started?
Just long balls up front from both and silly fouls we cant stay onside
-
How have we started?
Pretty much even stevens at the moment.
-
Is it getting foggier,or is that the last drink I had?
-
Don't have Sky unfortunately so no + either
Thanks for reply though. Missing it for sure

If its any consolation,it's scrappt.

Who picked up a yellow card?
-
Fleming
-
Who picked up a yellow card?
Fleming according to BBC
-
At least I've got Prime with every Prem Goal as it goes in and a vidi printer
-
I've got FinalScore on the red button Wolfie.
Peterborough getting walloped by Mansfield.
BobG
-
We’ve only been caught on the counter once. We are obviously trying to draw them out of defence with mixed results.
-
We’ve got a few shots away, none on target.
-
Playing with grit and determination but the crossing into the box and long range efforts on goal has been woeful
-
From BBC stats:
Possession: Walsall, 45.3%; Rovers, 54.7%
-
A nice half of spot the ball that
-
What's the odds on Rooney being sacked by Sunday?!
BobG
-
I dont think I have ever seen a team at the top of the table and playing at home waste so much time at every throw in.
-
Not the most scintillating half but I’ll take 0-0 at HT. The Sky commentator is blooming irritating. Might have to turn the sound off second half. Perhaps if we score he might say something positive about us!
-
Rovers gradually getting on top as the half wore on.
Walsall look nowt special.
-
Thought we were ok that half and edged it just. Interesting to hear coppinger on the gantry talking and saying someone needs to drop in and then molyneux shortly after started doing it and was quite effective.
There to win, but clearly they're dangerous when they go direct.
-
Walsall are good on the ball, not giving us much room to work the ball. We are not giving them much space either and closely marked with little thinking time it’s been very competitive, but not much of a spectacle. Rovers deserve credit for containing them well.
-
Would love to freeze all half time scores - every other relevant match is going for us.
-
I've got FinalScore on the red button Wolfie.
Peterborough getting walloped by Mansfield.
BobG
Yep on the red button and the reporter at the game has decided we are Doncaster United!!
-
I thought we were the better side in the first half without really converting that into chances. The best chance of the half was Walsall's after Broadbent was pissing around with it.
-
Commentary on both team's feed being drowned out by the effects mic.
-
I dont think I have ever seen a team at the top of the table and playing at home waste so much time at every throw in.
Have you not seen Arsenal this season?
-
Decent half, they don't look like top of the league, hope we can press on second half.
How did Billy get away with the yellow card when the ref played advantage btw?
-
I heard that too Petche. I had to stop and do a quick mental replay before I believed what I'd just heard.
BobG
-
The mist/fog looks to be getting worse.
-
Getting foggier can hardly see anything on sky
-
Possibly tempting for either manager to change tactics in the second half. I think McCann needs to stick to his plan of trying to draw them out of defence.
-
1-0
-
Soft as shite
-
How many goals do we gift from only half clearing a ball or even worse passing it straight to the opposition? Brain dead.
-
Great clearance from Bailey that. FFS
-
Who made that terrible attempt at a clearance? Straight to the Walsall player. Commentary blaming TSL should have done better! Can hardly see what's happening
-
Now we need a lot more fog...
-
b*llocks. PV got an equaliser now
-
Just pored another drink Bob, definitely getting foggier
-
Very poor start to this half.
Visibility is shocking on TV... wonder how it is at the ground.
-
Should be level! Would have been better playing it to Kelly.
-
Crewe winning now too...
-
Not good enough end of Walsall far superior we are to slow and negative stand off every tackle
-
Now down to 4th!
-
I dont think I have ever seen a team at the top of the table and playing at home waste so much time at every throw in.
Have you not seen Arsenal this season?
I don't watch women's football. Liverpool are top of the Premier league.
-
Well. that should have been 2-0
Still in this.
-
Another goal conceded within 5 minutes of half time, that's another of our weak points.
-
Can’t see a bleeding thing here
-
Port Vale now losing 2-1 to Bradford City.
Come on, Rovers, we can do this!
:)
-
Changes needed think Luke needs hooking done nothing but high and wide
-
Can’t see a bleeding thing here
Any chance of an abandonment?!
-
Can’t see a bleeding thing here
Any chance of a postponement?!
Not a chance
-
Mollys shooting is awful
-
FFS get Molyneux off.
-
What's the ref using? X ray vision?
Wensdi got 3 goals back in 14 minutes after conceding 3 in not much longer
-
Molly been poor in all departments today
-
Crewe drawing and PV losing now
-
Oh sodding hell. Notts County now 2 up
-
Midfield is static, they are just training cones for Walsall to pass around.
Molly has been poor, Fleming too.
-
Moly pass into nowhere again FFS McCann sort it out
-
Molly being subbed
-
Walsall bossing the game, needs changes to get anything out of this game. Get Hurst on for Sharp.
-
That’s three times now molly done a lazy blind punt across the pitch and given possession away, first one cost us the goal
-
FFS get Molyneux off.
He has been pulled - Hurst on.
-
Maybe Gibson for Sharp?
-
Off the post for Walsall if we come away with a draw it will be robbery
-
Second best by a country mile this second half.
-
2-0
-
Not clear through the fog but that looked offside
-
Pretty shite again other than a spell at the end of the first half. At least this is against the league leaders but it shows where we are - absolutely miles off that level.
-
We are completely out sized all over the pitch here. No physical threat from rovers, and we can’t live with these crosses
-
Deserved nothing and we got nothing only Sharp double effort was the only time we looked close.
Well done Walsall
McCann needs to sort this lack of effort
-
Really poor second half. We deserve nothing.
-
Pace! Pace!Pace! Jesus christ when are we gonna get somebody in this team with genuine pace? Both wingers absolutely leaving us for dead.
2-0. We are not a good team, I don't care what anybody says, I watch us every week, and we are hopeless!
-
Crewe losing now also.
-
We are far too ponderous all round. Walsall much quicker on the ball.
-
We are being ripped to pieces.
-
Walsall just nearly scored for us one of the best chances
-
You have to wonder what they do in training throughout the week because we just look completely unprepared every time, whatever the opposition.
-
Olowu unlucky there
-
Walsall miles better, quick and crisp passing with forward momentum. Physically strong, lots of movement. Great crosses and more than one creative player.
Everything we aren’t, sadly.
-

I doubt it helps that we change shape every weekend.
-
We’ve made it easy for Walsall, they’ve won at a canter. GM has to look at the weaknesses in the team and look for reinforcements in January transfer window.
-
Stupid pulls and pushes giving possession away all the time
-
This has been a painful, humbling watch.
-
Captain or not Bailey doesn’t do anything near last seasons level and plays 90 each wee and should deservedly be pulled off when needed not kept on he’s captain. Does nothing to get the team going and nothing today again. Far too many going through motions and somehow we’re 3rd when been so poor like today
-
Owen Bailey is nowhere near good enough this year- I am beginning to think Adelukan hid all our problems and we have failed to fix them.
-
Listening on Rovers player
Since a chant of "We can see you sneaking out" from the home fans about 5 minutes ago I haven't heard a word from the commentator - just crowd noise.
-
Guess what? We’ve now moved back into the top three!
-
GM has to be honest with the squad that Walsall have set the bar high, but GM’s squad is way off reaching it.
-
Second best by a long way.some big changes needed for the new year if we are to maintain our league position. Wish we had their keeper.
-
This team isn't anywhere near as good as McCann seems to think listening to him.
It's painful watching us huff and puff trying to make something happen. Attacking quality is seriously lacking.
-
The referee has been very generous. Emmanuel should have had 2 yellow cards.
-

He’s probably done a runner with those sneaking out. :)
-
Game over. We deserved nothing from that. Some reinforcements needed in January. A lot of work to be done to be anywhere near the level of the opposition today.
-
Now long trip to Colchester and then at home to Fleetwood who have the new manager bounce can see us getting nothing from both of those games
-
That was awful, plenty of endeavour & effort but that's where it ends. Play like a team of individuals, can't make 3 passes without losing the ball in midfield. No real pattern to our play, clueless punts upfield trying to feed off Ironside, really really poor & nowhere near reminiscent of a McCann team of the past. Walsall didn't play that well but were far & away a better footballing side than us. We are in real danger playing like that of the season running away from us. Look nowhere near like a top 3 side. January is massive.
-

We were poor but I didn't think they were much better.
I reckon we will be closer than 10 points behind them at the end of the season and still get promoted.
-
This squad needs a good kicking up the backside and reality check. This might do enough for the next two games, but we face Port Vale on Jan 4th, we way we are playing at the moment, can’t see us getting anything from that game.
-
I don’t think it would have made much difference to the outcome but it looked to me like the scorer of the second goal, plus two others, were offside when the cross came in for the second goal.
It would have kept it at 1-0 though had it been given as offside and given us a bit longer to try to get level.
We were second best overall today though and apart from two or three occasions we didn’t look like scoring.
Still half a season to play though so we are still in the mix.
-
That’s three times now molly done a lazy blind punt across the pitch and given possession away, first one cost us the goal
Did this at least 3 times in the Tranmere game! What's going on with him?
-

TBF Port Vale aren't pulling up any trees - 3 points in last five games...
-
I've got FinalScore on the red button Wolfie.
Peterborough getting walloped by Mansfield.
BobG
- the pre-match betting pattern on this match was extraordinary -- and it came off surprise surprise
-
Speed!! Or lack of in and out of possession is a huge weakness.
Walsall were bang at it pressing us, especially when our ful backs had the ball. We don't press, we get near and shadow their players.
We're far too slow on the ball. Again, Walsall showed how to move the ball quickly with precision and had quick players to keep up.
Our 1 on 1 foot races are non existent, we just don't have any explosive speed in the squad.
Speed of thought is also lacking, some of the decision making is horrendous.
Well done Walsall, I was hoping GM would have built a side similar to that.

I know, amazing considering we've been largely underwhelming this season.
Still, how long can we keep a grip on 3rd place playing like we are doing?
-
Not much longer Nudga, things need to change & quick. I also wish Grant could have built a side similar to them, but we looks miles away, & that's a worry.
