Interesting snippet in the Free Press from Billy and his current goal status, more interesting though is his comment that he wants to be scoring in the Championship for Donny.
-
So he expects to be around for another couple of seasons then!
-
I was just thinking that yesterday I wonder what options are available for another year. Limited service but he’s certainly still got plenty of goals in him. More productive than Joe with similar game time. L1 or L2, another year is surely a no brainier for all involved.
-
Love him to bits but he's no chance of playing at that level when he's 40 years old.

Didn’t Gordon Strachan manage it?
-
Just checked he played for Coventry in Prem at 40
-
Yep, different era and to be fair, Strachan played a higher level longer than Billy did.

That’s an interesting comment.
Just to continue along that theme, I feel sure that Copps could still do the business for us in L2 and make a significant improvement to the team.
He certainly knows how to receive a throw in and build play from it.

Molyneux failed to control a high pass on Wednesday and my comment was ‘Copps would have brought that down every time’. We were very lucky to have such a gifted player.

One of the lads in my group said the same thing (about controlling the high pass).

There wasn't many games where Copps did something that was worth the entrance fee alone, absolute genius with a football.

- as were so many players in SOD’s teams and we were usually better than a lot of the higher placed teams in the Championship. But people used to complain about “tippy-tippy football and no Plan B. Oh for a Plan A!

I also compared the incident to Copps, who typically would have plucked the ball from the sky and brought it down in a show of astonishing skill.
-
Copps………..sublime.
-
Copps did it numerous times and was sublime but I've seen Molls do it sublimely too, just this time it didn't quite come off.

that's why he'll never be any better than the ceiling which I'd say is mid table league one
