Parts of the write up from onevalefan.co.uk.....the whole write up is there with a quick google if you want to read it.
This is for all the idiots saying 'awful' 'worse than ever' etc. GET A GRIP.
Extracts below:

Darren Moore’s side earned their first win in nine games despite a nervy finish at Doncaster. Here’s our match report…
Ryan Croasdale’s third goal of the season gave Vale a half-time lead, albeit against the run of play at the Keepmoat stadium.
However, despite those Vale efforts it was the home side who largely dominated possession and Vale were grateful for Ben Amos and poor officiating. The veteran keeper produced a fine save on fourteen minutes when he touched Sharp’s drive onto the post. Sterry also went close with a couple of shots but Vale escaped on seventeen minutes when Heneghan looked to clearly handle in the box.
A second Vale goal, this time from Lorent Tolaj, earned Vale the win, despite a late Doncaster consolation which produced a nervy finale.
As the game went on the referee came under increasing abuse from disgruntled home fans and to be fair to him the official was poor. He missed what looked like a penalty in the first-half and many of his other decisions were erratic and inconsistent.

I think that quite a few of our fans will see that as a good report on what actually happened.

Port Vale's first win in 9! To quote Harrogate Rover, "Doctor Donny strikes again!"
I wonder how often our opposition's bad run has ended against us this season.

Hold onto your hat for Gillingham.

I’m sorry, what’s the point you’re trying to make here exactly?
Shall we contact the people who put the form tables together and say “Sorry I don’t think you understand. We’ve had good possession of the ball and the refs are sometimes mean to us”?
Because these coping mechanisms are recurring.

The point I'm making is IN MY OPINION it wasn't abysmal, awful, worst ever. We dominated for large spells and came off second in referee decisions.
Not only my opinion but that of some Port Vale views aswell.
But I'm just a happy clapper
