An EFL debut for Mr. Eley. Eek!

Just checked his record and it seems this is his first season at EFL level.
Another rookie.
Averages about five yellow cards per game.

Unbelievably bad.
It took him ages to give us any free kicks and yet gave Harrogate one every time one of their players got breathed on.

One of the worst I've ever seen. West Stand lino was a f**king clown as well.

Not great, but far from the worst we've seen.   It seems like all referees have been instructed not to give any fouls against Ironside!!

He was inconsistent with decisions all over the Pitch for and against both sides

I thought he had left his Cards at home as it took so long to find them. There was a clear hand ball early doors when 'arry gut winger rose like a basketball player (NW corner ) to control it. Mandatory Yellow ?

I would offer some praise for the Ref as he had quite clearly got his 10 yards right for Free kicks. He must have worked on calibrating to find 12 of his steps produced close to 10 yards

Other Refs often have the distance at around 6 or 7 yards only

2 points for him

3 points for East Stand Lino and the 3 offsides that wouldn't have counted as goals for Harrogate

5 points ( out of 5 ) for Belshaw the HTFC Keeper

There was one in the first half, we had a corner and the Harrogate player (number 7 maybe) was about 7 or 8 yards away from the corner flag.
The ref noticed that and made ten paces and drew the line on the ground.
However each “stride” was only about two feet long.

We had a corner in the second half where their player looked about six yards away. Our two players gestured to the west stand Lino who was right there and he completely ignored them.
Why not have a dotted line quadrant on the grass to show exactly where the ten yards are?
