Received my Palace tickets today. It can’t just be me that hates the paper tickets. I’ve got hundreds of tickets in my collection and paper ones just don’t sit right with me. What’s the advantage of them to the club?
-
They can print them from a cheap colour copier, as opposed getting them professionally printed onto card maybe?
-
And they can be printed at home
-
Its probably cheaper as well

Nothing finer than having a proper ticket in your hand for a match day. Maybe I’m just sad!

I remember the ticket I got for the QPR cup game in 85, just a square bit of paper about half the size of a mobile phone:.
Card eh.??

It was yellow, I had the ticket stub for years in an old wallet, and I lost the wallet a couple of years ago

Sorry Filo but the wallet was sticking halfway out of your back pocket.
I’ll hand it in to the ticket office next week….but I’m afraid I used that condom & spent the quid.

Had it dried out and been re rolled properly mate.

No , I agree with that . Nothing better.
That reminded me of my Ticket " tangle ". My next door neighbour years ago was a lovely lady , and still is and she used to come over to cut my hair 30 plus years ago
Only once did I visit her , and sat in Kitchen I saw sitting along with various Fridge Magnets was a Man U v Leeds Ticket.
It was her son's pride and joy and I offered to laminate it for him. So next day I stuck it in pouch and into laminator and then out it popped
Perfectly readable on back (Terms and Conditions etc ) , but the front had turned Black and was ruined.
Some sort of security device perhaps , I never did know but the son never forgave me !

I might be wrong but I thought mine was pink? It was a junior ticket pop side..

Wish I had kept mine, it was my first game would love to give it to my lad now, can I go back and speak to 16 year old me!

I've a couple of shoe boxes full of tickets, one for football & other sports and the other gigs.
Fully agree, this change to paper and printed tickets sucks.

What's even sadder is stashing them all in a box afterwards as if they're ever going to be of use or value again. Which I may or may not do.
