How sad did he look walking round the south stand!?
And I don’t remember seeing him walk round before, is he off and he wanted to make an appearance?
He looked genuinely fed up.
-
He’s done more in his footballing career than any of us have. Maybe he has realised he isn’t good enough to meet the level? Can’t blame him for it but it’s the harsh reality. Wish him the best.

Sad to hear this.
Jones always gave everything, was the last man of defence in a truly dreadful team. He had a big heart and desire to do well, unlike many of his team mates in that horrible time.
He deserves another crack at it, unlike an another that’s just left.
-
I seriously hope he gets another club and proves his worth, I would have sent Ian Lawlor out on loan and kept him
-
Lovely lad is Louis. Hope he can crack on wherever he ends up next. Copped for some unnecessary flack at times.
-
Wouldn’t surprise me if he left on loan , maybe putting himself in the window for a summer move when his contracts up
-
Do loans to National League sit outside the Monday cut off ?
-
Would not be suprised if Louis gets released tomorrow so he can be a free agent.
-
He’s one of our own, so I presume majority of supporters would have been hoping he could make the grade, and he given it a good go when he’s had the chance.
His progression has not been helped by the number of games where he has been sat on the bench, perhaps he should have been sent out on loan much sooner.
Hope he can take a step back and can still have a career in the game at a decent level.
Best wishes to him.

Can he not go the conference or below on loan? Not sure if their window is different?
-
Yes, either Louis or any other members of the squad (barring the five loanees) could still go to a National League club until sometime in mid- March.
I've always thought that, below the Premier League and maybe the Championship, the transfer window shouldn't exist. What purpose does it serve? I accept you need to have a cut-off date 6 to 8 weeks before the end of the season, and that was always the case, but for teams in Leagues One and Two it's irrelevant.

Just wondering, do we still need to name one 'club developed' player (has played in our youth teams) in each match day 18?
I have a feeling this might not still be a rule.
If it is, apart from McGrath and Jones are there any other players in the senior squad who qualify? If not then if Jay is injured or suspended, by putting Jones on the bench instead of Lawlor would allow one extra senior outfield player on the bench rather than a current youth player.
