An intresting read of their matchday thread from last night.
Nothing positive towards rovers.
Highlights include
We should of had about 3 red cards.
1 enjoyed seeing fat boy sharp subbed after his dirty stamp.
There passing game was off probably because they are not used to playing on such a poor bobbly pitch.
We were pretty much powder puff going forward.
Ref let so much of our dirty tactics go unpunished. Shin rakes.
Personally it would tickle me to see millwall shut them up
-
You have to remember though that we have some of our fanbase just as biased. Whatever some say we did give them a game as a team three levels below them.
-
Probably the ones who didn’t go
-
They didn’t mention then that they conned the ref into giving them a free kick that resulted in their first goal.
-
Forget ‘em lads.
Let’s get back to ‘proper football’ come Sat’dy.

Failed to mention the shocking tackle on ennis early doors also
-
Bit harsh comments overall tho i’d have to agree with the “powder puff” going forward.
We need to address this because again we were relying on Molly to score.
-
If you look at the comments on the BBC report of the match you will find that there are a lot of comments from Palace fans that are complimentary about the Rovers performance.
-
On the walk back to the car I was talking to two Palace fans who were very complementary at our play, surprised at the standard, shouldn't be in L2 if you can play like that etc etc.
Said they would be keeping an eye on us for the rest of the season
Not one moan about Billy ot tackles or ref.
Forums full of trolls.....we know that...
-
Powder puff until Ironside came on. I would say Molyneux Gibson and Ironside did well and contributed.
-
Crystal palace fans would do well to remember they support . ....... Crystal palace.
A club we have played as equals and beaten on more than one occasion, and finished above them in the league for 2 seasons running.
No bigger than the likes of charlton, qpr, and watford etc also in that shithole they claim is our capital city.
-
I worked in London (Tower Hill) in the seventies. Never met a single person I could describe as ‘nice’ or genuine.
Went from there to then work in Newcastle. It was like living amongst a different ‘species’ with relative strangers offering you a ‘tab’ or including you in a round of drinks. Good, genuine people that I still remember fondly today some forty years later.
So glad I was born & raised ‘Up North’.
-
Was thinking it wasn't long ago but was actually 15 years since we actually finished above them in the league!
The best thing I saw on that forum was the one questioning if we'd broken rules because we had more than two loanees in the squad when you're only allowed two. That was the point I realised you're dealing with out of touch fans.

A big shithole at that, I worked there at Thornton Heath, couldn't wait to get away, what a dump.

I had the errrrmmm pleasure of living in Thornton Heath near the "Pond" for a few years mid 80's and I concur

Let's get real. The whole UK is a shithole, including Donny.
-
The problem is Scawsby you don’t realise this until you travel around a fair bit, not to beach destinations and not capital cities. I’ve been lucky enough to travel around EMEA with work, I don’t get to see a whole load of it, but what I do see is far and above most UK towns and cities ( in the main) there is some stunning towns and cities in EMEA. Unfortunately as much as I love our city, it’s not one of them, but by no means the worst! But it is home.
-
They had me cringing when they were doing the ‘ole’ rubbish. They were playing a club three division below them, so dominating possession must have been the minimum expectation!???
They think they are different, but are typical fans with deluded bottom half of the premier league entitlement.

When the main roads in Colombia - though not a fair number of city streets - are miles better than ours, you know, without any doubt whatsoever, that this country has been badly let down by it's leaders over a long period of time. Looking at the infrastructure of other western European countries I don't think we are even second rate these days.

This is a difficult one. NZ is clean, green, laid back and sunny. However, as a lover of history, there is nothing to compare with England. London wise, I had some fantastic times there in the 70's and 80's. Maybe a case of right place right time? Would I rather be in Stainforth or Moorends now, (no offence), definitely not, but my heart will always be in Donny. :rtid:

England being massively overcrowded doesn't help
-
f**k all to do with football. Wrong board.

Are you an unofficial censor? Or just a bloke with neither imagination nor generosity of spirit?

Careful, DRFC_AJA will tell you all off for <checks notes> "poverty shaming".

You think TS bringing his off topic views on immigration into the footy board is ok.?
I think there’s a line been crossed, if you don’t, fair dos.

Of all the posts on this thread that are off topic, you chose that one to trigger you. Funny that, especially given that I didn't mention immigration, you did.
You've shown your cards there.

I don’t care, I know what I read on here regularly enough..
Back on topic I guess they have their fair share on the Palace forum too.

The game has gone and we have more important things to think about in securing promotion. Just let the thread die a natural death.
