We have had 6 red cards already this season, the most since 2001-02 in our Conference days.
And there are at least another 14 games to go. Some (e.g Clifton) but not all have been unlucky, some have been simply silly (Molyneux, Gibson).
Forgetting what ever red cards we feel should have been given to opponents, especially recently, we really need to sort our discipline out.

I don’t really think we can have any complaints about last night’s sending off, you can’t go straight through the back of someone with your trailing leg, absolute stupidity.

Luke Molyneux v Chesterfield
Tom Anderson v Chesterfield
Harry Clifton v MK Dons
Jay McGrath v Carlisle
Jordan Gibson v Colchester
Jack Senior v Morecambe
Three against - MK, Grimsby, Tranmere.
Probably Clifton and Gibson should feel hard done by, the others were all fairly deserved, and even Gibson was pushing his luck being daft. Still none beat Lee Tomlin's curtain raiser v Bradford for sheer inexplicable stupidity!
i don't think there's a single game this season where I thought we'd been the dirtiest side though, so it's something we need to sort out.

The Whitman one vs Dagenham was a joke. Don't recall it even being a foul. Was on TV I think as it was during the Daggers v Boston run in that season.

Was it as bad as Morley and Blunt being sent off at Chester that night?

I think he just ran into a player on the half way line making a clearance and the momentum flipped the player. Ref must have though it was a studs up challenge as Tris was trying to make a bloke but there was no actual contact foot to leg. The first Chester red was a joke, can't recall the second one though. Still, we had the last laugh there a few months later.

My records fro red cards only go back to 1979-80, but since then the highest is 11 (all competitions) in 1998-99
But I will be astounded if that is not the all time record. Sendings off were less frequent before then
