It's surely come to a head now? Us lot abroad, or those not able to get to the game, are still paying our money to follow the rovers. But having to listen to the Radio Sheffield commentary (who've never cared about a team outside of Sheffield) on Rovers + is just not good enough. Gidden can't get the names of the players right a good 50% of the time, he claimed Street was the one who scored the goal when it was clearly Clifton, and both commentators claimed it was a red when it was nowhere near.
And Micky Walker? In the politest words possible, the man's mind is 25 years in the past. Not good enough Rovers from a product we are paying for!

I’ll be honest I thought it was a red, he went in with both studs in, all opinions eh
-
I'm not going to discuss the game but the service is absolutely crap.
-
Didn’t look like a red. Hard to say 100%. Should have been a red for their lad Whalley.

Not a red in my opinion. What was your opinion on the stamp on Sterry that resulted in this ref dishing out 3 yellows?

The problem is once again we gave an inexperienced ref a decision to make the player wasn't going anywhere so the tackle wasn't needed
-
At the game it was as clear a red card as I've ever seen he went over the ball two footed

I was at the game and I disagree.

Was it just me who had to watch the first 15 minutes of the Rovers match with audio commentary of Swindon vs Chessie? Diabolical.

No not just you.
Very weird on the brain watching one match with a commentary from another.

The original point was not so much about the red card. Anyway, I've watched it back 20 times on the replay and I'm still not convinced it's a red. He's clearly started the tackle with one leg and the other has followed through. It's not one of those where he's jumped off the floor with two feet in a reckless way.
I think it is a case of an over-eager ref (someone posted it was his only 2nd game) who has seen his linesman flapping his luminous rag around like a man possessed, seen the Acrrignton players rush towards him, and decided to make a name for himself.

it wasn’t Clifton either it was a own goal, didn’t look a great challenge from behind the goal and on replay can’t really see but thought whalley was very lucky to to stay on the pitch
-
Donnievic, you must be talking about the 2nd Rovers goal as the first was definitely Clifton and nowhere near an own goal.

I turned the Accrington feed on , god god their guest commentary made Mickey Walker sound like John Motson

Not sure if it was deliberate, but the OP saying Andy Giddings can't get names right, and calling him "Gidden", gave me a laugh.
