Owen now has 10 yellows which means he misses the next 2 games, a big blow considering we’re missing Senior and now Kelly. Could this see the long missing Westbrooke returning to the bench/starting lineup as it leaves us severely weakened in the middle of the park?
Westbrooke isn’t a like for like replacement for Bailey but he is an experienced option. Also was it a mistake letting Close leave?

We do have a recall on close I think.

charlie crew will play in that role at a guess, problem ive found with westbrooke is he slows the game down to much going forward
-
Has he not got 7 yellows in the league?

f**k me we're not that desperate
-
Not correct. Only applies to league games and he has just 7 in L2. If he gets to 10 before 37th game then a two-game ban will be handed down.

Where are you getting your stats from?
ESPN has him on 7 yellows in the league plus one in the FA cup.

yes, do cup matches count or not?
-
1. Disciplinary rules – accumulation of yellow cards
- Yellow card limits are set per competition e.g. Competition A will have its own yellow card limit, Competition B will have its own yellow card limit and so on...
- The accumulated yellow card counter is set to zero at end of every season
- Player yellow card thresholds per competition:
o Leaguecompetitions:
▪ 5 yellow cards = 1 game suspension
▪ 10 yellow cards = 2 game suspension
▪ 15 yellow cards = 3 games suspension
Owen has 7 yellows in the League Competition
Moreover there is a reset at game 32 .He only has to avoid getting 10 before game 38 .
-
He’s only got 8 according to Transfermarkt. Inevitably going to pick up 10 before the season’s out but very unlikely to overlap with Kelly’s suspension.
-
League is separate to cup - 10 yellows up to the end of the 37th league game means a 2 game ban.
He’s got 7 after 33 fixtures.
-
Are there also time limits set for the 5/10 and 15 yellows.
I think that the 10 yellows (for league games) is match day 32 so if he goes beyond that line and not accumulate 10 he will only be suspended if he get to 15 yellows before the next cut off point.
I think that is right.
Edit: Just seen the post by IDM so maybe he is right but either way, there is a cut off point for the ten yellows.

Ricky Charlesworth on X
Seen a bit of chatter about Bailey being on 10 yellows. No ban pending as only 7 have come in the league. The threshold for 10 bookings (and a two-game ban) is reset after 37th game. #drfc
-
That’s good news that it resets, good chance that he won’t reach 10 by then.
-
Technically it’s not reset after game 37, as a suspension would then kick in at 15 league yellow cards.
-
So everything is clear then….
